Yeah I've seen a few things actually, unless he got them from other sources.One that surprised me is was we all knew yesterday that the Soton chairman would be quitting by the end of the season but we jumped straight in with 'he's handed in his resignation' and what do you know, this morning he has resigned. SSN were reporting yesterday morning that he had handed in an official written resignation.

No there is an absolutely massive difference between highest long ball ratio and a higher amount of long balls played if you cannot see that it is pointless debating with you. The reason Swansea play more long balls than us is because they generally have more than double our posession .we have the highest longball ratio in the league BTW. I just said they've played more long balls, which they have. Reread the quote you said higher long ball percentage which is not correct.

Only just joined in the Summer so I doubt it. He is an attacking midfielder and I think he is rated highly in Czech Republic so maybe some of our Czech posters could give more of an insight. Other players from Freiburg that I would like: Baumann (GK) Ginter (CB) Schmid (Winger) Only managed to make 2 starts for them since joining Freiburg so could be a possibility.

Because people would rather have Klose on the back of their shirt than Holt. and because while both passed their prime Klose in his prime was a world class finisher.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if he's fairly decent and gets a few goals and assists. £5 million Kozak struggled to do all of those things. Kozak has 4 goals in 14 league games, a good few of which were sub appearances. I call that a few goals. I said do all of those things. I don't think he's got many assists and apart from the city game has barely looked decent. You said he struggled to do all those things, he hasn't struggled to get a few goals.

It's extremely hard to when certain posters are continuously negative. Yes, Holt doesn't look like the most inspiring signing ever, but why cant people allow him to play a few games for the club before getting on his back. Also extremely difficult when certain posters have there heads firmly stuck in the sand.

Yes but lets face it the brand of football and tactics are much worse to look at this season for some reason. I realise we will not be a top team again in my lifetime but I would like to see us play nice football, we did it last season, it was the one reason we could condone our poor league position last season but this seasons football has been on a par with McLeish if not worse.

ohh ye of little faithCome on Richard, instil some optimism into us all. what's the point? i and others have tried and yet it still needs doing on a daily basis it seems. It's a bit like being insecure in a relationship and wanting constant reassurance that your boyfriend / girlfriend isnt going to dump you. Sometimes things become a self fulfilling prophecy. If people cannot see the short term nature of this potential loan signing and the reasons for it then I cant help Yea because we have gotten great assurances from the club the last 3 years.

Wouldn't be too displeased with Hoolahan as a short term solution but if there are just 2 signings this window and they are Holt on loan and Hoolahan I will be royally pissed off.

But this is just one inexpensive loan signing to cover an injured backup player. It's such a non-event. I don't really see how we're being "shafted" here. Fair enough if we signed 2-3 more players that would make a real difference to the first team by the end of the month but like I said I have no faith in that happening.

Not a great deal but yes I do to an extent. Unfortunately my trust ran out tonight with the potential signing of Grant Holt. There is now no way back for any of those 3 for me I fear. Don't you think you're overreacting slightly? It's just a loan deal to replace an injured backup striker. No. I guess this is just the straw that broke the camels back. I feel under Lerner villa fans have become like beaten wives. It all started out brilliantly but soon started to go wrong and each time we get shafted we are promised it is about to get better.

Do you honestly trust the club with the people involved (owner ceo and manager) to bring in decent players? After all that has happened in the last 3 years?

I just think it is hilarious the way some people are telling others to calm down and wait and see what else comes before the end of January. How can we have faith in the club that just keeps on letting us down? In dire straits last Jan we got a £750k DM . We were crying out for an AM this Summer, Yet again we were disappointed so please forgive me for having no more faith in the club that has continuously let us down over the last few years.
