  1. It's a neigh on certainty that Liverpool will win the league. Along with that it's also a neigh on certainty that Liverpool fans will congregate in their droves, dancing together and drinking in celebration. The media will somehow or another overlook this or pass it over as exuberance and concentrate on the achievement of winning the league. Lets see the how the test and trace system handles that one !!!!
  2. Space X Dragon Crew launch aborted due to weather conditions. Gutted. Now moved to Saturday with an earlier launch time of 20.22 UK time. I dont know if this will be visible in the UK at that earlier time and if the UK will have clear skies.
  3. Totally understand, but there are lots of them that clearly do not have a full length mirror at home!!!!!
  4. Since the lockdown and the closure of gyms why am i seeing so many women out and about wearing gym kit? You don't need to wear gym leggings or a gym top to go shopping. i see lots of them like this in the queue for the supermarket. Why? I can half understand wearing it to go for a walk but most seem to be wearing it as the latest fashion attire. I just don't get it.
  5. The ISS passover last night was one of the best so far. Very bright and slow moving, Tonight will be good with clear skies and visibility and the brightness level is forecast as ''incredibly bright''. A good night lined up with the launch of Crew Dragon Spacecraft and then view it flying over the UK followed a little later with the ISS. A warm clear night in the garden spaceship, satellite and star gazing.
  6. On this day in History 38 years ago. 26th May 1982 Happy Anniversary

    Gardening

Question for the green fingered fellow Villatalkers out there. As with lots of others i've spent a lot more time in the garden clearing out overgrown areas planting sunflowers, potatoes, beetroot and carrots. If it was not for the lockdown i would never have bothered as i'm not really into it. I've now go a variety of plants bursting through in the borders. The thing is i've no idea what they are. Are they flowers, weeds?? I've downloaded a few (free) gardening apps to my iPhone. Take a picture and it tells you what it is, although the results are a bit hit and miss. I know this as when i take pics of the plants i know it comes back with some differing results. iPlant, Plantnet and Gardenflower id. Can anybody recommend one that they use which gives a high success rate? I don't mind if i have to pay for the app. Thanks
  8. On Wednesday there is a spacecraft launch mission to the International Space Station with two Americans onboard. This will be beamed live on NASA's youtube channel. You will be able to watch the launch live and then a few minutes later see the spacecraft pass over the UK, subject to clear skies. Anybody who watched the Spacex launch a few weeks back and the saw it over the UK will tell you how cool it was to see. This will be even better giving it is a manned mission. Enjoy........ All the details and a link to the youtube channel can be found on the link below https://www.meteorwatch.org/crew-dragon-watch-the-launch-then-see-it-fly-over-uk/#more-9006 Crew Dragon Watch The Launch – Then See it Over UK Crew Dragon – Demo-2. During the Coronavirus lockdown many of the UK public have been looking up each evening to see Meteors, Satellites, Planets, The International Space Station and more. Many have acquired a new found love of the night sky. If you have been joining in or even just started looking up, you are in for an amazing treat! On 27 May 2020 at 21:33 UK time (20:33 GMT) A SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket will blast off from Cape Canaveral Florida The mighty rocket will be carrying two Astronauts to the International Space Station inside a new Crew Dragon Spacecraft. This is the first ever commercial launch of Astronauts into space by a private company, SpaceX Crew Dragon Demo-2. You can watch the launch live below. After lift off, you may be able to see the Crew Dragon spacecraft around 15 minutes later passing over the United Kingdom. An unmissable and historic sight! The launch is planned for 21:33 UK time. This may change, so stay up to date on launch timings with @VirtualAstro on twitter and Facebook. @VirtualAstro will also post up to the minute alerts on spotting the Spacecraft as it passes over the UK and Western Europe. Watch SpaceX Falcon 9 Carrying Crew Dragon Launch – Then Watch the Spacecraft fly over the UK! If all goes to plan, the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket with the Crew Dragon on top and the Astronauts inside will launch safely on time. The Spacecraft is carrying NASA astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken. This will be the first historic commercial flight to the International Space Station since the Space Shuttle was retired. We should therefore see the Crew Dragon Spacecraft flying over the UK around 15 minutes after lift off. https://www.youtube.com/user/NASAtelevision
  9. If Chris Wilder was our manager there would be umpteen pages of posts saying he's shite and plays negative not easy on the eye football and that we are a massive club and should have a manager of higher calibre with a proven track record in the Prem.
  10. The cardboard cut outs are €19 each !!! Albeit the proceeds are going to charity. https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/news/borussia-monchengladbach-fans-pay-for-cardboard-cut-outs-charity-coronavirus-10911 Unable to lend their vociferous support in the usual way, Gladbach fans have contributed to the 'Stay at home. Be in the stands' campaign in their droves. For €19.00, the 'cardboard you' will be installed in the stands, with the proceeds going to local charities. The Foals have even allowed for fans of other teams to order a cut-out which will be placed in the away end.

  13. Yes, all players and those connected with being at the game are tested. Fine. The problem is that the UK government are failing in there promises for 100k people per day to have tests. This promise has been increased to 200k per day by the end of May. So far it's around the 75k mark. The chances of hitting the 200k mark are remote to say the least. So essential/key workers are not being tested yet those associated with football which is non essential are. It is morally wrong. I have no problem with football returning, but testing of essential/key workers should take the priority. Why not test all teachers to allow kids to get back to school? When there are enough tests to cater for these people then football should follow. Not before. The Government and the Premier League are imorrel in letting this happen which is clearly a decision based upon pound notes.
  14. check this out https://www.meteorwatch.org/ The International Space Station is visible in the UK in May The website has details of times it should be visible.

  17. Some top names here....4pm today
  18. Seeing that also reminded me that neither can Tyrone......
  19. Players driving around town in their kit This is the biggest thing for me as to why football should not return until we have all of the front line essential workers/services being tested on a regular basis. It is morally wrong that non essential workers should be tested at the expense of those that really need it. The Government promised to have 100,000 tests per day in place by the end of April. This has yet to be achieved which is a disgrace in itself. Now, if by the time they are talking about testing non essential workers and footballers they have everything in place to cover all of our essential key workers etc, then fine go ahead with it. But until then it should not be entertained. The priorities are all wrong.
  20. Something to watch on Sunday morning......
