  1. Do you refuse to take on Uber drivers? An Uber driver I spoke to the other day said he takes bookings from either Uber or Robin Hood Cars, and he prefers Robin Hood as he gets paid quicker. Dunno you know more about it than me but I'm sure they do get paid.
  2. Apparently Andy Street said to Chris Mason that his performance which outperformed his party's popularity proved the case for "moderate" Conservatism. There's you're evidence Cruella. It's the lurch to the right that's destroying them.
  3. It's insane. They MUST know this. But they equally know that it's what their grass roots and funders want to hear. I assume there's big money for being high up in the party even when not in power?
  4. Assume their are other taxi firms he's free to work for. Or shelves that need stacking, or pints that need pouring. Or maybe try his hand at an office job or a bit of building work, take up a trade maybe. I wasn't aware he was forced into free labour for Uber. I'm going to get onto the local constabulary.
  5. Change to a MORE right wing course. That'll do it Cruella
  6. Oh, I thought it was just you and the dog out for a walk. Thought you were a bit thirsty.
  7. Braverman doubling down on these results all being down to them not being right wing enough. The issues being their voters not turning out because they don't believe the tax breaks were big enough, the Rwanda flights not serious enough and not leaving the Human Rights Convention. She really thinks lurching more to the right is going to save them. She's positioning herself to be the next leader for the remaining band of nut jobs. Kueensberg asked her for evidence which was explained as being that people didn't turn up to vote. She wasn't asked about to explain the swing.
  8. So Mrs Sidcow is convinced 15% is the new standard for tipping. These days with the 4 of us any kind of pub meal it going to be £80 odd plus. That means we're at least tipping a waitress the minimum hourly wage. If she's waiting say 4 tables that night she's probably taking home 5 times the minimum wage. Sounds like a hell of a job?
  9. This is why Uber is a lifesaver. It's always £2, the next morning when I've sobered up.
  10. You should watch The Holy Trinity show on YouTube. His "Chief Reporter" is featured each week in some retro gear. Literally something different every week, I've no idea where he gets it all from. For clarification it's just a guy who sends him video footage inside the stadium and he puts a photo of him up in his retro gear. It's not as professional as it sounds
  11. Think it was more than that when it was Sam Wellers
  12. On the Council Bankruptcy thing The FT are now reporting that the deficit may well be more like £250m instead of £750m. To recap the £750m figure which has been used to cut services, raised Council Tax massively and force through loads of property sales which give Birmingham valuable income. There has been weeks of speculation about where this figure came from because their computerised accounting system was in such a state they couldn't run reports on anything, know how much income and expenditure they had or even how much money they had in the bank. It seems this £750m figure was just plucked out of the air and always meant to be the worst case scenario but has subsequently been taken as read and all subsequent action based on that. Obviously a £250m figure is a whole different kettle of fish to a £750m figure. How many services destroyed and how much future income lost because of unnecessary measures undertaken?
  13. Really? Always seemed a class act for me unlike Burnham. Their differing personalities seemed like night and Day. Burnham with the full on smug superior Manc thing. I think Street represented the West Midlands well. I'm not sure about Parker but let's see. I just don't think he'll be such a big hitter.
  14. Yeah, they tried that and look what happened to the leader.
  15. Shame. I'm not sure about the Labour guy. At least he'll be in power at the time of a Labour Government so should pull some favours. Especially if he's in by the thinnest of margins. They'll need to do more work with him than with Burnham.
  16. Yes, I think we got up just in time. Even all the money we spent was barely enough. Mind you there are teams like Bournemouth, Palace.,Brentford and Brighton who only need a couple of bad appointments and signings and they probably don't have the depth to ride it out. But then look at Everton who have been a basket case for years, had points deductions and still finish well ahead of the promoted sides.
  17. Ipswich fans all so excited and happy. Amazing achievement. Then they'll have a season of being spanked most weeks and in 12 months time will be relegated and depressed. Football is mad innit.
  18. A terrible one I vaguely remember was about a posh bloke who had a common scouse girlfriend. It was awful. Anyone remember that? Early to mid 80s I'd say.
