  1. Pretty harsh assessment imo with 27 of 28 attempted passes completed and a passing accuracy of 96.4% vs Brighton.

    The NSWE Board

It does feel quite "American" doesn't it...
  3. Bravo sir, this actually made me col (chuckle out loud)
  4. If all fit I reckon something like this could work:
  5. Just realised, there's a four-part series on Dortmund from 2019 on Amazon Prime and Favre is the manager, just getting into it now.
  6. Well, Lucien Favre currently leading the poll by some margin. Whilst I'm keen, the way his last season went at Dortmund is a massive concern. With the quality of players he had, most pundits seemed to point to a poor mentality amongst the players that eventually resulted in him getting the sack. Anywhoo, here's another vid:
  7. He turned them down apparently, said Villarreal "was his home".
  8. I'm also thinking more about Potter. Think there's some uncertainty around his Birmingham loyalties so I found this online: But, despite his time as a Blue, Potter admits he was not actually a Birmingham supporter, and revealed that one of the most famous of nights in the city’s sporting history - even though it involved the Blues main rivals - stands out from his younger days. “It was really weird because my first football memory was watching the European Cup final when Aston Villa won it. I’ve got a picture of myself with Ken McNaught with the European Cup," he said. “They brought it to the Shirley British Legion Club. You can see how times have changed because they’d never take the Champions League trophy to the British Legion these days. “My father still has a pint there on a Friday night. So at that point I was watching that team with, Peter Withe, Gary Shaw and Tony Morley which I was quite excited by. “When I started playing for Birmingham I started to support them. I was more bothered by playing than I was supporting.” https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/graham-potter-feel-more-home-15039358
  9. No worries man. Of course I also found some clips after he was given the boot by Dortmund which weren't so complimentary! The first thing that sprang to mind watching that first vid though was Watkins, McGinn, Bailey, Buendia, Traore, Chukwuemeka, Aaron Ramsey, Louie Barry would all fit that quick direct counter-attacking style of football.
  10. Of course take this with a pinch of salt as it all ended up going horribly wrong for Favre at Dortmund with a complete defensive collapse apparently, but I found these two videos quite interesting... Part one above and Part two....
  11. I had a look through all the premier league squads yesterday searching for an established physically strong DM that might not be getting much game time somewhere else but couldn't find one. Unless we have a massive surge up the table it's not going to be easy and we may have to buy from championship or overseas again which comes with it's own risks.
  12. I'm defo in favour of Targett dropping out as well.
  13. Been thinking the same myself about one of the CB's stepping up into DM. Out of the three Hause, Zebe and Mings would Mings be better in the DM spot? Keeps right and left footed CB's in the middle at the back then?
  14. Will defo be a sad day but Deano's no dummy and 100% took the job in the first place with his eyes wide open to the fact that one day he may well be sacked and I'm positive he'll be emotionally ready for it when that day comes, he'll be alright. Gutted, but alright.
  15. Totally agree with all of this, I like the idea of actually having defenders who can comfortably play it out from the back though.
  16. I guess when you think about it logically without emotion, with the change in playing personnel this season and the disjointed preseason, IF the board decide to make a change to the manager, you're much much better off doing it sooner rather than later to give the new guy almost a kind of a clean slate. I think the board will wait however until Xmas and if we're mid-table at Xmas I think Deano stays. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if he goes this international break if we lose against Saints though, just hope they've got something properly lined up in the background if that is the case.
  17. Same, which is why I thought I'd put up some info. A lot of high emotions running around this place at the moment ay...
