Don't know if it's been mentioned but when James Rodriguez was 18 he was recommended to O'Neill/Lerner by Juan Pablo Angel but they didn't even bother to follow it up and check him out. It was the same season when we was linked with Falcao but got Heskey instead!!

Another bargain we miss out on, shock. Exactly, same day as we apparently wanting Gary Hooper who isn't even that good a player/striker, and he will cost more than Finnbogason by least a few million! with Finnbogason a far better all round player! at £4.8mil it's really no brainier.

Olympiakos agreed a fee of 6 million euros for Alfreð Finnbogason! which is around £4.8mil! Has 59 in 70 at Heerenveen which is better than Bony' 46 in 65 in Holland. We have been linked with him number times, these are type players we should be going for.

If this is true (Keane visited with the new owners last week) and Keane is brought on to the coaching staff this week, that would be a pretty big indicator we have been sold. Perhaps Keane is advising the new owners or the new owners have picked him up to be "their" man in the dug out. But it feels more likely that Keane was spotted visiting Villa Park to discuss the assistant role (alone) and somebody put 2 and 2 together to get 5 and assumed it must have been takover related.
