  1. If you want a beer, give Premier Travel a shout.
  2. Got the whole end then. As an aside, how on Earth did Pompey manage to get somebody to sponsor that shed?!
  3. The last time we played them it was quite embarrassing to be honest. 3-0 after 15 minutes, hitting the bar twice and having countless corners. It would be nice if it was as easy again this time round, but it will not doubt be a lot tougher. If they go 4-4-2 against us, then it’s only going to work in our favour. This is especially so if Petrov plays anything like he did against Chelsea. With three league away games on the spin, this is an absolute must win.
  4. Wouldn't that have you sat alongside Augusto Pinochet? Why?
  5. Economic Left/Right: 8.25 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 3.69
  6. I was scathing about him earlier on after the Wigan games, but the past three matches he’s looked very solid and dependable.
  7. Blessed be Paul, for doth giveth his opinion that is the truth and the light. So it is written, so it is done. Amen.
  8. JPA was shite when he was in his prime for us. The hour hand on a clock moved quicker than he did.
  9. No, I would have taken Yorkie back a couple of months after he left. You can’t quibble over world class players like Yorke.
  10. I’m glad you’re as excited about him as I am. He appears to have everything and I really, honestly and genuinely think that the kid will be total class.
  11. To be fair glory hunter, part timer etc etc does seem a fair tag. Look at the troglodytes down the road. Grossly inbred, jobless and horrendously ugly though they may be, every one of them who turns up to watch SHA does so in spite of their awfulness, because its their team and they’d rather go and be a Bluenose than a Brummie Red for example. And that, you have to say, is commendable. To want to give up your season ticket when the going hasn’t even got tough, well, there isn’t much more to say is there?
  12. Delph has all the attributes Barry does not have. In two years time, Delph will be of such quality that Barry will be a distant memory. A bold statement perhaps, but this kid is so exciting and his potential is limitless.
  13. He wasn’t the answer when he was here and I certainly don’t think he will have developed an ability to beat a player, run at pace, get up and down the pitch to provide cover or score goals from open play. So no, I wouldn’t have Chubby back.
  14. Anybody know when the tickets go on sale for this?

I dunno, when you get on that A1 up in the North East, there is bugger all traffic, no police, no cameras and just a straight run more or less, with the Toon the only thing in the way. May could have put his toe down and gone quite a bit faster than the train.

I think the joke was that Hammond was so far behind that the weather was different where his slow ass was. Mind you, as somebody who travels around a hell of a lot, I can assure you that the weather can be very different in places as close as ten miles apart. I’ve seen it sunny out the front, but raining in my back garden.
  17. James Milner invented the rich tea biscuit.
  18. They’re a poor side to watch and have been for some years in my opinion. Very workmanlike, although it has worked for them recently.
  19. Major Winters story about Mike Riney’s grandson at the end of ‘Points’ never fails to bring a tear to my eye. That whole episode with the German speech amongst others is very poignant. Band of Brothers is simply better than anything else ever on TV. Class in every sense of the word.
  20. Just a query General, but why don’t the club ever take up full away allocations at certain grounds? Some examples of us taking the reduced allocation are the three north east clubs, along with Spurs and Chelsea. Is there not the confidence in the support that we would sell out?
  21. General, I know its early, but how do you plan to allocate the tickets for the away leg in the Intertoto cup game in July and any subsequent European away games thereafter? Will you be introducing a European away scheme that we can opt into as well as the away scheme? Last time we were in Europe there was a Villa travel membership that we could subscribe too, but perhaps a guarantee of a ticket through a European away scheme would be better this time around?
  22. Just like to say General that I think the price increases are fair and represent excellent value for money, especially when you consider the ever improving product on display and the cost of our competitors.
