We should not be desperate. We should take our time and find the right man for the job. We don’t need immediate direction at the expense of rushing an appointment. The calibre of manager we’re after is clearly in work at this current time. If it means we end up losing on the weekend against Everton, to give us the international break to find a manager, get him familiarised with the squad and do some good work with the remaining 35 league games, then that is what we have to do.
