  1. I bought one of them once. Used 2 months worth of Fairy Liquid in a week
  2. At least it isn't the Mums Net conversation we had yesterday, this is definitely Dads Net
  3. Sorry this dishwasher debate is nonsense. The dishwasher vs handwashing figures are always using a full Dishwasher. To fill our dishwasher would sometimes take 3 days Also the energy thing. If a dishwasher is cold fill it is using electricity to heat the water which is far more expensive than using gas through a combi-boiler on demand Supposedly dishwashers are capped at using 5 gallons of water which is about 23 litres of water but most older models are capped at 10 gallons (ours is definitely older). There's no way I use 45 litres of water doing the washing up. I reckon our sink uses about 5 litres when doing the washing up plus probably the same again for rinsing.
  4. It isn't our tarrif that is the problem, it would be the EU's Cars made here, would be subject to EU tarrifs if they were sold to Europe. The Tarrif would be out of our control
  5. Pelosi for Secretary thats a right State?
  6. Again, two points on this. The test and trace has had zero impact, that is very clear from the data and it was only (until last week) available in one of the six boroughs), Two of those boroughs are and always have been lower than Liverpool, which in turn is lower than two / three of the others
  7. Not true. our region is still falling and Manchester is also. It just takes a lot longer to fall than people imagine
  8. They are welcome to compare my before and after bills. Total nonsense
  9. Our water is metered, doing it by hand saves me money in electricity and water. Doing it by hand saves a little bit of the planet. Greta's gonna get ya! @tonyh29is off out to buy 5 new dishwashers as we speak
  10. Full band and gear in a transit van. 7 people at least but sometimes 2 bands so 10 people at least. UK Tours, gigs in London. 3 seats in the front, none in the back. Splitter vans were VERY rare back then They were the best of times
  11. Peeling apples is something I've always thought to be a stupid idea
  12. 'kin'ell we've become Mum's Net Right er them dragons that won't slay easy piss me right off
  13. I liked it enough to go back for a second can, it's decent tbh quite refreshing. Don't think I'd want more than two though. If I was in the mood for proper drinking, I'd switch at this point but I'll be off to bed shortly as I have a f**ker of a day tomorrow
  14. Now I get where you're coming from and I'm very much on the beer tasting of beer side of the fence but John Smiths is a bit flat cap and whippet territory. I'd drink it out of a proper hand pump but the cans just say nitrous oxide pump shite to me
  15. Tonight I am drinking a White Ale, made with White stuff so it tastes White Actually I lied. it's not white stuff at all, it's orange and green stuff. Corriander and Orange Peel
  16. Nope. any combo of Julia Psychological Roberts and Horror is likely to put me off any film
  17. I have an order of doing things when it comes to washing up. Plates first then bowls, the bowls are propped up with the mugs and everyday glasses which come next. Then I'll move the bowls slightly for a gap to slide any chopping boards / baking trays into. Next are any pans, which are done in order of size, smallest first then as best as possible stacked on top of each other. Next is the cutlery which goes into a separate pot so weren't required in my initial stack calculations followed by the delicate glasses, which are at the end because they will always be dried with paper towels and placed back on the relevant shelf in the Living room. I do not need to dry the rest thats why they are stacked on the drainer. The missus does the washing up and its... "can you come and dry these for me..." For me, I think it stems back to packing Artics at the end of the gig. A good pack always took a bit of logic. Many a time the truck driver had his ideas completely changed by us. Yeah but.... Oh shit that works well!
  18. Talking of the vanity project. None of his team are very tech savvy are they Not only is the websites address theCorbynProject.com when surely it should be a .org but they also failed to register the more obvious projectforpeaceandjustice.com which has now been hijacked but TheCorbynProject.org has now also been hijacked It's not like this doesn't happen all the time, standard practice is to buy All the domains you can think of
  19. My point about LBC is that a lot of people were criticising Starmer for even being on there (see @blandy's post above) but a lot of those very same people will be tuning in to The Canary to listen to L Ron Hubbard, presumably talking about his new vanity project
