  1. This is THE Ashes series... and I'm not apologising for the near two hour video
  2. Last time I was in Frome, I was at a party that was so shit I didn't drink much, waited until I was under the limit and drove as far away as possible, slept for a few hours in the car and carried on home (Must be 20+ years ago) I've not been back, though I nearly did the other week when I was trying to find accomodation near Bath for another party I think it scarred me mentally
  3. Actually I was wrong, its a leave seat but very marginally, leave won here by less than the overall result, there is plentyof polling evidence (and election) that it has swung back to remain. But my UKIP comment was correct, they got less than 600 votes last time. Also someone has told me that the Tories feared the NF Party and Davies himself standing as an Independant Tory splitting the vote three ways (in effect he was blackmailing them here). Add into that Con to LD voter defections because its a by-election and another de facto EU referendum (Plus Lab to LD too for same reason) I think the LDs must be favourites
  4. Farming country and country towns. Used to be a Labour seat until the mid '70s but the demographics have shifted a lot since then
  5. Nah not in Brecon and Radnor. UKIP rarely got 1K its a remain seat
  6. Agreed but I suspect the people organising the petitions actively got party memebers from opposition parties to canvas known registered voters to get to the petition totals. There maybe a few but I suspect they are from the opposition voters in the main
  7. So the Tory solution to having Chris Davies recalled by petition in Brecon and Radnor is to get Chris Davies to be the candidate again in the seat. There are 10.005 of his constituents that actively signed his petition for him to be removed from the seat. I'm presuming they gave up collecting signatures when the threshold was reached. The turnout is usually about 40k Last time he had a majority of 8k (20k Con vs 12k LD vs 9k Others) - there are only 55k registered voters in the constituency It's like they don't actually want to win the seat, an utterly bizarre decision EDIT: So 10k actively don't want him, 15k usually don't vote that leaves 30k (just over half) of the registered voters to target and at least a further 10k of which didn't vote for him last time). Thats a tough ask especially in the current state of the party in the polls
  8. You imagine I'm actually arsed about this. I can log into my 5 twitter accounts on my iPhone at the same time. It's the illogical behaviour that pisses me off not the adverts generated because adverts generally pass me by (except that new Beatles movie but hey ho)
  9. It's great for Working from Home. Telly on (Sound down), TMS on whatever device plays it and work away only bothering to look up when something happens whilst being entertained by the commentary. You do a whole days work at home and don't even notice the day going by
  10. See I don't get that, if it was remotely intelligent, they'd know you'd already bought them so the chances of you buying a similar product again is much smaller. And yes it pisses me off too. Google thinks I'm a socialite extrordiaire because I'm always looking up bars and restaurants on google maps etc It's work and not a reflection of me. Google's ad sense is particularly stupid
  11. Another one of those compilation albums.Max's Kansas City (The other legendary NY venue) - New York New Wave. More of a taste of the times than a belting album
  12. Fame really has never interested me, especially now in the social media age. Walking down the street and being bothered by strangers. No thanks.
  13. First pressing not the reissue (I have both) - Dubbed nyabingi drumming, perfect for the impending storm
  14. I'd like to think so to but being as any singing I'm likely to do would sound like Frank Sidebottom with a very sore throat,... I doubt it would be possible for me anyway
  15. Mr Wardle pointed this movie out to me some time ago, he's yet to be forgiven for his crimes (and boy is that advert pissing me off on Twitter)
  16. WHat are they doing playing Rugby when they should be running round in circles
  17. Baseball is rounders with big bats, girls sport innit

First thing I do when I give up driving for a living is going to buy a big bag of weed
  19. I'm on Black Ark Scratch myself, the absolute belter double cd considering it only covers'74-'78 is absolutely full of treasure
  20. You've lost me, sorry EDIT: hell I'm tired, it's taken a hell of a time for me to see the difference
  21. In what way do people say that? Any way that isn’t a direct reference to the shit anarchy pop band is meaningless
