  1. I'd ship out Gabby and Kozak and bring in Bamford and one other - maybe that guy from Bristol. I don't really want McCormack, not sure why.
  2. I'd take Gunter, Chester and Robson Kanu. All available in my opinion!
  3. Does anybody think that Robby may play 3 at the back? It might be difficult to get 2 strikers in otherwise!
  4. Disappointed that We've not been in for Fletcher, Dembele and Gayle. Hopefully this means Ayew is staying and we're getting one or both of McCormack and Bamford!
  5. Surprised we weren't in for Moussa Dembele - out of contract and just gone to Celtic!
  6. Ravel Morrison would be a risk but could be a master stroke. Can't lose with a loan and option to buy agreement. Would provide goals from midfield and would be fun to watch!
  7. I remember when none of us wanted Wes Hoolahan for 2million 2 years ago - it would be interesting to see how what would have panned out!
  8. Most important signing for me this season is a captain for us all to get behind. Gareth Barry would be my shout - achievable in my opinion as I think Everton will be looking bigger!
  9. It would be nice to get a marque signing! Something to show we really mean business!
  10. For me Di Matteo is a risk, however a lot more confident with Steve Clarke coming in with him! He is as good a number two as there is in the game.
  11. Year 1 - Promotion back to the Premier League Year 2 - Avoid relegation in the Premier League Year 3 - Top half in the Premier League Year 4 - Top 6 in the Premier League Year 5 - Top 4 in the Premier League If Tony has mapped out a plan for the next 5 years, I hope it looks similar to the above. Arguably Moyes would have been ideal for Years 1-4 which is why I think we went for him. Pearson would only really be good for years 1-2. RDM could potentially be good enough for the whole project but he has never stayed anywhere very long and is therefore a massive risk! I guess on that basis Pearson edges it for me from the remaining favourites.
  12. I think it's obvious that we could really benefit from having a Chinese player in the first team. Diesler, who are some regular internationals for China who could do a good job for us?
  13. From the bits and pieces of information we're getting, type 5 does seem to be the most likely! hopefully!
  14. Good read so far. The most important thing that I'm sure we'd all like to know is who is Tony, and does he have the financial clout to do what he says he is going to do?
  15. Di Matteo has a career 50% win percentage! Can't be knocked! My first choice has always been Chris Houghton however!
  16. So what's the planned protest for the Newcastle game then?
  17. Who I'd keep GK - Steer RB - Hutton LB - Amavi, Bennett CB - Clark, Baker, Toner, RW - Traore , Green LW - Grealish, Sinclair CM - Westwood, Gardner, Lyden, Veretout, ST - Gestede, Ayew, Robinson Plus some other kids who haven't yet broken through. Ideally, I wouldn't keep everyone of the above, but we can't change everybody in this window. Sell - Guzan, Bunn, Bacuna, Cissoko, Richards, Okore, Lescott, Sanchez, Gill, Nzogbia, Gana, Gabby, Richardson, Kozak - I reckon we'd get 30-35 million for this lot and clear a hell of a lot of wages Need - 1st choice GK, 1st choice RB, 1st choice CB, quality winger, quality CM, goal scorer. I'd like to see us go for the likes of Tom Carrol, Patrick Bamford, Ross McCormack, Rico Henry, Will Grigg, Bentley etc.
  18. Do season ticket count for the play offs or do you have to pay extra?
  19. For me, every single one of these players needs to go in the next 3 windows. There's not one id be say to lose! Bring some kids through and add about 20 players in the next 3 Windows with British league experience. Add that to a new owner and a new manager and see where it takes us.
  20. Is this grounds for gross misconduct and therefore dismissal? If so, surely they will get rid as a cost cutting measure of nothing else?
  21. I honestly do not know who we will be able to attract both in terms of new ownership and as a new manager. I think the best we can hope for is a local consortium who may not have money to invest, but will recycle what we can generate. (We could probably achieve close to 25million for Gueye, Ayew and Amavi) and that's not a bad championship budget. In terms of a manager, in this situation, whilst not inspiring, the likes of McCarthy, Bruce or the man I'd like to see get the job Houghton could be the ones.
  22. I'd take Chris Houghton - he has done a great job wherever he has been! What he has done with Brighton this year is fantastic! Also he brought Newcastle straight back up as champions!
  23. Henri Landsbury would be a good signing.
