  1. Hi General, Nice to meet you at Bodymoor Heath today. Thank you for all your efforts in helping to make Aston Villa a force to be reckoned with, again. These last 12 months have been nothing short of incredible, and truly once in a lifetime stuff. Onwards and upwards, I have no doubts. Thank-You
  2. Fantastic article, one of the best I have ever read on here. I really enjoyed reading that - top stuff.
  3. Before dissaperaing (what has gone on there?) it was Ridgewell, no doubts - the bedrock of our unbeaten run, things have never been quite so tight at the back since being dropped IMO. Can we have an option for him please?
  4. er No Cahill has played almost as much as Gabby - 21 apps he's also played more consistantly imo He may have played more consistently, but not as good!
  5. Top post Gazton. He is a striker for me, and I too find myself subscribing to the theory you put forward with regards to his involvement on the right. He has found himself in 1 on 1 positions a few times this season, and to my memory, has scored every time - thats very impressive. His finish yesterday was class, especially when you consider the pressure he must have felt when squaring up to Friedel - he was coolnes personified
  6. There is currently a lot of potential within our set-up, but until any of it is realised it isn't worth anything. Our results have been dire this season, and whilst the future may hint at better things I am more interested in the here and now - nothing else is certain. Unfortunately the here and now doesn't feel any different to the yesterday I have expereinced for the last x amount of years - and the ultimate irony of all this potential we have would be to go and lose most of it by surrendering our premiership status. Frankly, I am not interested in what my pass in future seasons, I want results now. As I expect Randy Lerner, MON and 99.9% of Villa fans do too.

    Better or Worse?

MON might not do much different.
  8. Gavin McCann cannot pass a ball to save his life!!!
  9. As others have said - a great post. I have only ever sat in there once, and we won - so from that perspective I have good memories of it, it is however very dated these days and I won't be to sad to see the back of it. .......if only they could rebuild the Trinity!
  10. I've heard we are interested in Defoe...... Sorry
  11. SHA. Grubby little team. The others I have little or no anymosity towards - I am actually quite fond of WBA and their shitty little ground. I think they help cement the greatness of Aston Villa.
  12. Yes, absolutely. A mooring berth in Nice. A pied-a-terre in Monaco. A half-acre to extend his allotment behind his garden. Or a nice plot for his planned mausoleum. I can imagine all of those deals going through a lot smoother than we ever managed to sign a player under his tedious, timid period of office. As long as the deals benefit him. If it's, ooh, petty cash vouchers for mosquito spray, well, that's another matter...
  13. Please feel free to post your own front page article on your position and don't post about posters. I have no desire to tell the world my position, and I doubt the world is interested! ...and tell me, how do I not comment on the poster in this instance, when the article is about the poster?
  14. I find it amusing to think that you believe people care enough about your 'position' to post it as a front page article!!
  15. ........erm, its not quite complete yet :? Don't jinx it Ian - I remeber you celebrating the dawn of our new administration several times before it actually happened. ....and General, just incase you are in any doubt - we are all delighted that it happened - you saved the club!!!
  16. Really, not that I want to get dragged into this - but have people really got so frustrated that they are arguing over Lucas Neill?????
  17. I would LOVE Heinze. I brought this up a few months ago as had heard that even back then he had become surplus to requirements - most people on here laughed me out of town!!! He is one of my favourite Premiership players, and IMO there would be no better rock to build a new squad upon. PLease say you're interested MON, Please!!!!!
  18. why meet up in Lichfield though and not VP ? To keep it on the QT
  19. I reckon it will be 12M. Maybe a bit too much, I dont know - prolific strikers, in and around the England team cost about that don't they? ......Barcodes were linked with Crouch for the same amount.......
