  1. A player working his bollocks off every game is what's wrong with the club? Hardly. Yet you want Gabby to stay and he's on similar wages but really doesnt put any effort in whatsoever. Agree 100%. Gabby looked totally disinterested from Christmas onwards whereas Ireland grew in confidence and work rate. CI has an agenda against Ireland and no matter how well he performs he cannot offer any credit when it's due. CI has an attention disorder. Out of the three players, Gabby performed the best. I wouldn't get rid of any of them, except maybe Ireland.
  2. No, not at all, Bent is a far better goal scorer. He doesn't do enough, other than score and assist more than any other person in the squad.
  3. Erm, ok. He was, in an attacking sense, top of the pile. I think you're opinion is not balanced in view of that fact.
  4. I wouldn't, for the reasons stated above. *In reply to Richards post
  5. I know you're singling him out. I just cant understand why. Just score goals? not necessarily. He should be top of the pile and he was top of the pile, what's your point? Even with Bent's injury I think his ratio of goals + assists (10 for Bent) per game is only a bit better than Gabby's.
  6. His overall value to the team is undervalued I think. 5 league goals 7 assists. 12 points. Top of the pile. Better than Ireland, N'zogbia, Bent, Albrighton, Bannan...
  7. He finished top of the pile if you add up his (league) goals and assists last season.
  8. I like Gabby I think he offers a lot. I cant understand the criticism.
  9. Collins, Dunne and Warnock are just as bad, arguably worse.
  10. It's amazing how far into the future they can predict.
  11. Yeah , never mind. Maybe 3rd time lucky eh? If you give an infinate number of monkeys typewriters one of them will eventually type out the correct name of our next signing.
  12. Did a sterling job for a while last season, but IMO lacks the quality needed.
  13. You don't have to see a player at the same level to make a judgement. The fact Bannan was getting more first team chances at the same age is neither here nor there. I think Johnson will be a better player. And I'm not slating Bannan, more praising Johnson. Bannan, as I stated earlier has another season to prove he's good enough.
  14. Totally agree. Think people would be rushing to say that Carruthers and Johnson are going to be better. Really no clue how they will be until they properly step up to the first team and get some more games. I'd like to see Bannan get a good chance this season. It looks like he has some great vision when he plays, but maybe doesn't quite have the skill to back it up at the moment. I'd hope for an above average season for him this year (anymore and he'll get nabbed by someone else like all the rest of our good players...). If he has a worse season than the last, then I'd start maybe asking whether he is good enough for us. Totally disagree, I think anybody with a keen eye and a bit of a clue can compare and contrast players of differing development stages and make a judgement on who is the better prospect. I haven't seen much of Bannan, less of Johnson - but I think he's the better prospect based on what I have seen.
  15. Take a leaf out of my book and stop these silly puns already!
  16. I think Johnson is the pick of the bunch and will be better that Bannan. Edit - we didn't all rave about Bannan when he first started.
  17. I'm lukewarm on the transfer, we definitely needed DM'er and he looks decent-ish quality. Should be ok if he can make the transition into the premiership, might even turn out to be good. Fingers crossed and welcome!
  18. Somebody who I think is ITK but statistically speaking knows FA, has posted something somewhere about us signing someone. I'm just going to look @twatter to see if someone else has read the same post and tweeted it. If so, I think there is a high possibility it might be true.
  19. Yep, Samir Carruthers and Daniel Johnson look like better prospects to me. I think this should be the season they break through.
  20. Teleportation?? Are we just gonna completely bypass the hover car era just like that? I feel cheated.
  21. It's not relevant to the initial subject of the debate, which has been taken on a tangent. ...And it is healthy. I've done a 12 year study into the vegetarian diet.
  22. Mothers doing nothing wrong if the child is eating a healthy balanced diet. It's not relevant to the debate.
  23. DM is one of the areas we're very poor in and PL has identified that. El Ahmadi looks ok on YouTube, the prem will be a big step up though. I think he needs to follow this with a new LB, then he's got the two main problems hopefully sorted.
  24. He's honest and he's right, he hasn't really quite reached the standards required yet and if he doesn't soon he'll be looking for a new club.
