You cant shame the shameless ! The board will move on , as will the players, and us and our predicament will become just a bad memory for them as they continue their millionaire lifestyles . Never has a group of Villa players deserved scorn and disdain more than this pathetic lot . They actually deserve verbal abuse because basically we ,as fans can do nothing more . And before I get shouted down for abusing our own players , lets be quite clear......they dont represent OUR great club or OUR colours ! We really are in limbo at the moment . We`re no longer an active part of the premier league anymore , in fact we`re not even an active part of the relegation battle anymore . We have no transfer speculation ! We`re not officially in the Championship yet , but the towells been thrown in . Ive never felt such disdain for our own players and management who are killing our club

How can any Villa player , in the position we`re in come out and say " they wanted it more than we did " as Richards did after the Everton game ??? If fighting for your premiership existence isnt enough then we may aswell all pack up , go home and await Championship mediocrity , as our useless bunch seem to already be doing

How many foreign managers have arrived and actually saved a team from relegation ?? If Garde comes , we go down anyway and then he disappears leaving us needing someone else another manager to get us out the Championship . Get Pearson in and at least he'll stick around next season

Sherwoods worst performance since he`s been here . Any team losing a 2 goal lead in the last 20 mins only has the manager to blame . He obviously dosnt know how to use subs to close down a game . Another long miserable season looms

Can only see Lambert getting the bullet after the Bournmouth game if they outplay us and dump us out of the cup( which is more than possible ) That could be the breaking pount. Would like to know from Lambert also, what SHOULD our expectations be against Liverpool , Arsenal and Chelsea ?

The past few years we`ve always relied on the fact that there were always three teams worse than us .......sadly that salvation seems to be far less likely this year , defeat to Southampton and then a confident Burnley next week and I really can`t see us getting out of it this time .

What a shameful pre season this is turning out to be . We now see a manager who has completely no conviction or belief in his own philosophy on football . How can such a radical change of policy result in anything but the impending doom which we seem to escape from by the skin of our teeth every season . Talk of a so called " long term project " is evidently HOLLOW . FALSE LIES . From sub standard youngsters one year to " has beens" and " never beens " the next . Having just seen a disastrous world cup when everyone agrees to have a successful team you need a sound structure , system , philosophy etc ; the events at the Villa show that we`re a million miles from any of that . How can a smaller club like Southampton have such an impressive scouting system compared to ours. Noticed that Luna and Sylla could be on their way to second division Turkish and Italian sides which tells you how suitable they were for Villa in the first place. Now I see that Delf , player of the season last year , could be on his way to West Ham for £5m FFS ! Been supporting Villa for 40 years and never felt so miserable about a new season .

Vlaar gets beaten in the air so many times , and also supposed to be the " leader " on the pitch . The avalanche of goals we concede seems to suggest somethings wrong with our defence , ie no leadership and can`t defend against aerial attacks

This season has shown we have shortcomings in defence , midfield and attack . Benteke will be gone in the summer , leaving even bigger problems up front . Any hope for next year depends on Lerner selling , and a new manager . If not , more of the same next year I`m afraid .

There was a moment inlast nights match which left me bemused not for the first time this season . After conceding the first goal in the second half we found ourselves awarded a free kick just inside the City half . Bearing in mind how sparse our attacking possibilities were , I would have thought that a free penetrating pass forward would have been the best option , BUT NO! It was back passed back into our half again only for some muppet to just boot it forward again . It was as though 1-0 down was good enough , lets hold on . I DESPAIR

Keep looking at the other sides final couple of fixtures and really can`t see them sending us down , however bad we are . 35 could really be enough

I think both Lambert and Lerner know they wont be here next season . If we stay up , Lerner sells , new owner gets rid of Lambert . We go down ,Lerner sells at any price and new owner gets rid of Lambert . Both of them are coming to the end .
