  1. Bad substitutions if you ask me. what is Holman going to add?
  2. I think he needs a season on loan in a championship side to have regular first team football for an entire season. he has the potential to be a good winger for us.
  3. i like the bench for the first time since long. Meaning that we have some players on there who can come on in the second half and do something. bent to score a goal, Nzog to play possession, sylla, to strengthen our defence. It wasn't always like this this season
  4. This I can agree with, because you never know what'll happen in 2-3 years. Let's just hope it doesn't.
  5. Belgium's downfall will be having too many individual billy big bollocks'. Also I rate Lukaku but telling Benteke to join a big team, when he himself was been banging on about wanting to stay at WBA because he won't get games at Chelsea, seems like he is either trying to sabotage Christian's career or the paper is talking shite. you don't really follow them do you? the only players that have an act for that are Hazard and Fellaini. Benteke could be one as well (see his performances after the liverpool game). other technical players like De Bruyne or Mertens are praised for their teamwork. Also, a lot of these players have known each other from when they were 15 years old, they keep each other down to earth. Do you see Kompany, captain of the current title holders and one of the richest clubs in the world, having 'individual billy big bollocks', or vermaelen, dembele, vertonghen And what Lukaky stated is no different from what every commentator in England is saying: Benteke can do better than Villa. I know none of us want to see him leave just yet, but he's been doing extremely well, so it's only fair these claims are out there except "ever commentator in England" isn't playing for a club like WBA. What we're saying is Lukaku is saying he should move on to a big club, when he himself is playing for a small club at the moment. to me that seems like admitting that Benteke is better than him. and what kind of logic is that 'he is only playing for a small club, so he can not say anything about playing at a big club'? Lukaku has played at Chelsea (barely) so he knows what it takes as he didn't have it. If he says that Benteke does have it: good for Benteke. I think a lot of these comments are for the wrong reasons. Let's say Lineker would have said it, would it have been more justified? why is the Messenger so important?

  7. He played a rather anonymous game. In the first half he was pretty isolated, in the second the was more support coming from Hazard, De Bruyne and Fellaini (who didn't perform well). He wasn't subbed for Lukaku at any point so he seems to be the number 1 right now. there was a foul on him in the second half in the penalty area, but no penalty was given, probably because Hazard already got one a few minutes prior

Wigan will be a threat, with their next games against Norwich (H) and QPR (A). they can get results out of these games
  9. too bad Southampton won, we're not climbing the table this way. plus Liverpool will be desperate for a win next week after this, if they didn't already want payback for our holdup at anfield. anyway, lets hope wigan lose tomorrow to sweeten our victory
  10. let's hope we see a better 2nd half. unfortunately Southampton is winning, so we need to win as well for this game to mean anything.
  11. Play whoever's in form. aaaahhh, the luxuries of decent PL teams, where there's competition for every position. That would be nice to have.
  12. I'd say let albrighton move out on loan to a championship side. he needs to play games, he has the talent to be a good player for us, more than the other three, but he lacks the experience and is not going to get it with us.

if we're lucky, ManU will be champions by the time they face us and will have nothing to play for. That may give us a chance to get something, though it is still unlikely
  14. we need a win next week. I do not want QPR to get a good run, but they have the fixtures to get one. with a little luck, we can get a 6 point gap between us and the relegation zone next week.
  15. the results in the other games are going our way as well southampton, sunderland and norwich all dropping points
  16. good game overall with a performance like this, we should be able to take on reading and qpr

well then it should motivate us. if ManU win, we can help them get their title faster by beating ManC. so when we play ManU in a few weeks, they will not be too motivated and will be focused on european succes.
  18. this all talking in retrospect. if we would let Bannan for example go today and he ends up at QPR, Wolves or West Ham, I 'm pretty sure that in five years, he'll be a decent (not top) premier league midfielder as well and we'll all say we shouldn't have let him go. It's just because he would build up experience. A lot of players don't have a good career based on talent alone. Experience is a big factor, something Davies or Ridgewell are good examples of. I'm sure Clark or Baker will be solid defenders as well in a few years time if they keep playing regular games. They will not necessarily be wanted by the big clubs. example: John O'Shea. good defender, but never a world class talent. He now has the experience to walk into our team. Huth, Shawcross were both let go by top teams as they were not talented enough to play themselves in the team. How many PL sides would say no to signing them for a affordable fee right now? I think Albrighton would benefit from a loan to a championship side, so he can be a starter for an entire season. Worst case scenario, that team is us next year. But he'll be a better player.
