  1. You have experience of this I assume Connell?
  2. General, On a similar note to some of the posters who have lost out due to the rescheduling of the Blackburn game, I had made plans to go to London the weekend which the game will now be played. I understand the clubs sentiments towards having a full house but the fact is, I now am faced with a choice of cancelling my weekend plans or missing the game. Considering I paid £475 for my season ticket, it does anger me that the club can make an unenforced change to the schedule without considering the fans. Had this change been forced due to cup commitments or television enforced changes then I could understand but this is not the case. Another issue I have is with the seat exchange process. Whilst I appreciate that the scheme is still in its infancy, I think it would be beneficial for season ticket holders to be able to offer their ticket at a slightly reduced rate to encourage people to buy these as currently, unless the game is sold out, there is no incentive to use this service making it pretty much redundant. I say this as most fans will not miss the sell out games such as the derby, Man Utd etc... Thanks Tom
  3. Truly, a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest. You have a very good point and this is true of all people, including yourself, for whatever you may believe, in my opinion you are human and are therefore fallible.
  4. I completely agree with this, organised religion has dug its own grave and organised the funeral in my opinion. Are you referring to God here? I am not purporting to accuse anyone of taking advantage of anyone, I was merely stating that without the facts or the authority, who am I to judge.
  5. Good point Brian. To be perfectly honest though, I was not aware of any of the issues relating to aspirin but I never take it, it makes my left eye swell up for some reason.
  6. I voted for Wolves, simply because I was at uni with loads of Wolves fans who honestly thought they were one of the top 6 clubs in the country.
  7. Thanks to Terry and Beth for answering my questions although I think Terry may have understood what I was asking a little. Beth's response has clarified the issue for me though and I guess the response is what I would have hoped for from an all loving God. Personally, I'm not sure what I believe in and I struggle to believe that Michael is the second coming but at the end of the day, the way I see it, faith and happiness is a personal thing and if you have found inner peace, then despite what anyone may say to you, then that is a good thing. It may be the case that you and many others are being taken advantage of and if so, I would condemn this entirely, but who am I to judge?
  8. I have a question for Terry and/or Beth if they wouldn't mind answering. In terms of good and evil as earlier in this thread it was mentioned that the good things we do are the act of God within us and the bad things are not - If someone does something in good concience and in good faith, believing that it was the will of God or that it does not abhor the law of God but it turns out that it was not the will of God at all and that it impinges on God's law, is that person good or evil and is the act in question the act of God or not? (For example, it could be a schizophrenia sufferer believing that God is commanding him to do certain things or it could be a member of a tribe living in a remote region of the world who believes that it is acceptable to steal from the rich and give to the poor - Robin Hood esque if you like). Also, if God were to come to you in your dreams and tell you to sacrifice a loved one or if Michael commanded this what would you do? Obviously this is against the law of the land but it could be considered to be God's law if He so commands. I'm not trying to catch you out at all but I am just trying to put some context to some of the responses I have read.
  9. It would be difficult under the current circumstances to do a good job but I think McLeish can keep them up, just. What I would consider a good job for Blues would be to finish in 17th or above. If he can build a mid table side then I think he would have done a fantastic job. I think he can do that but alot depends on what happens with the clubs takeover. I don't think McLeish is a great manager as such but he will get them working hard and playing as a team. I would liken him to the Paul Jewells of this world.
  10. I would say he is a consolidating manager for SHA. A good reputation for Rangers and Scotland and he may well get them playing more as a team. That said he has an uphill task, especially considering that whilst the takeover is in limbo, I can't see too much money being available for signings. He is an improvement on Bruce I think but not by much.
  11. That's how it always has been though CM. Nothing new there! 8)
  12. Hi General, Just a couple of questions. Firstly, what are the reasons behind the decision to continue relations with premium tv rather than create the bespoke website that you mentioned? Also, some of your posts previously have indicated that season ticket holders will be receiving some "extras", one of which I understood was going to be free access to the video content on the new website. Are these plans still in place and do you have any details relating to this? Neither are particularly significant issues at the moment, but I would appreciate your input on this. Many thanks Tom
  13. I thought this was one aspect of the new website that season ticket holders would get free. I won't ever pay for this service to be honest. By the way, what are these extra benefits season ticket holders were promised? I'm not particularly bothered as I am over the moon with the way our club is being run and what we have achieved, I'd just like to know if there is something I have missed and/or what extra's season ticket holders will get.
  14. I think that it is a testament to Wise that he has got his team playing so well but Ken Bates deserves to be rinsed for the way he has manipulated this situation. If it wasn't for him then I would happily want to see Leeds promoted but as it stands I really don't care either way.
  15. If they did promise it, then they shouldn't have done but to be honest, two wrongs don't make a right. It may be wrong to go back on a promise (if indeed there was one) but it would be a greater wrong to have a referendum on this basis alone. Any government worth it’s salt should have had the foresight to see this at the time of the promise, and not made it. With that, I am in total agreement. If Labour did promise this then it would be a damning statement as to how trust worthy they are, however, I still think they should avoid a referendum on this. I really have no idea if they promised this or not to be honest though.

  17. No, I think this is a decision which should be voted for by the Houses of Parliament and part of the reason why we have general elections. I think a decision should be postponed however until after the next general election. Too many people will vote without any real knowledge of what they are voting for and why they are voting for it.
  18. I don't really want to get into a debate about this but surely, in these circumstances, namely that this is a new scheme to be introduced which many people are wary of (for a variety of reasons including cost, civil liberties etc...), the onus is on the government and those in favour of this policy to prove why it is good and not for those who are not in favour of it to prove why it isn't beneficial.
  19. As with most people I know, the only issue I have is the cost. If the government already have access to all the information they need which I am sure they do, how can they justify the potential £300 charge?
  20. Hi general, I think you may have missed my question: Thanks again
  21. Hi General According to the official site, Seat Exchange was set to go live today, however the Seat Exhange website doesn't seem to provide the facility to register our seats for sale yet. Do you have any idea what the hold up is and when it will be operational? A user guide to the Seat Exchange website may also be useful as some of the content seems to lack a bit of clarity. Many thanks Tom
  22. For me, a safe choice for the FA would be one where they can't lose. If they appoint Mourinho, it will be what everyone in the country wants so if it works out, they look good, if it doesn't they have an excuse. Appointing Pearce may be good from the perspective that he is an FA yes man but it would just increase the pressure on the FA from the media and general public. As for McClaren, in recent times, things have massively improved for England, I could see them giving him 2/3 games into the next world cup qualifying campaign and then deciding whether he should stay or go!
  23. I would say that the safe choice is Mourinho and certainly not Pearce. I wouldn't be surprised however to see the FA stick with McClaren to be honest.
  24. I voted for go now but I must say, McClaren has vastly improved in my eyes since when he first took over. Some of his decisions may have been forced on him but he still made them and they were decisions which I thought he might never have made. I think the player we missed the most last night was Heskey, I never thought I would say that and it was unfortunate that he got injured as I think we needed someone like that to beat Russia.
