  1. Do you think MON would not be interested in him or do you think we wouldn't be able to get him? I really like him as a player, i think he has everything that a striker needs to have in the premiership and i think he'll continue scoring goals at this level. I don't think we would get him, yes we are a better prospect for him than Chorlton but think he would still rather be in London and will go to Spurs to be honest In which case we would have a great chance of getting Keane or Defoe. I wouldn't mind any of those 3.
  2. Crap lyrics can ruin a good melody but without a good melody it's not worth listening to at all!
  3. Perhaps not at Bodymoor Heath then unless a shuttle bus service could run from the city centre for a small fee. I don't know really, it would just be pretty cool to have a reserve stadium. It would set us apart from other teams and give the place more of a sense of unity!
  4. Shame they got the website wrong eh! Shouldn't they be hyperlinking to here too! :winkold:
  5. Or perhaps click on his profile and then go to the option, see all posts by C-Krulak! That's what I do!
  6. The only recommendation I would make with regard to match day catering is to get more hot veggie options. I understand that the majority of people are meat eaters but it would be nice to have more than one option for hot food (other than chips) on a match day. Currently the only thing is the pizza pasty/slice which is ok but it gets a bit boring. How about a veggie burger?
  7. I think the role that Randy is keen to adopt is the role any diligent Chairman should adopt as it's not supposed to be an executive position. I would like to pass on my thanks to you and the rest of the new team for your entire approach to running this club. Whilst it is still early days, I think I speak for all fans when I say that the way the club is being run now is a million miles away from the way it had been run. I feel that we are now building the foundations for a great and successful future!
  8. From where I was sitting I thought Sutton deserved an 8, Hughes a 7 and McCann a 7. Otherwise I completely agree!
  9. Interesting. Got any evidence for this statement? I remember him going on loan and cheering when "that" club stayed up... Rocafella in defence of Man Utd shock - :winkold:
  10. You cannot compare single seasons in isolation. It's unfair. a large part of a managers job is to build a good and sustainable future. Also, not that I think this would be fair either, but it would be more relevant to compare the number of points acheived in a season as this is entirely within a clubs control where as where you finish is dependent on that and the performance of other clubs.
  11. If Heinze is available you can bet your bottow dollar he will sign for Madrid as Roberto Carlos' long term replacement.
  12. Are you a geordie? :winkold: Edit, or Scouse for that matter!
  13. I think it is quite a good article actually. It raises some interesting questions which should be of relevance to us all. I don't agree with it all but then I wouldn't expect to as I didn't read it. FWIW I believe that the new owners will stick to their promises as they will have to if they intend to get a return on their investment. I think we should be prepared to give it a couple of seasons to really assess the progress but see no reason why we can't see real progress in terms of silverware, europe etc... even sooner. It is possible.
  14. We need to look at other areas before buying a centre back. As far as I can see it, we need a centre forward, an out and out winger, preferably right sided, a right back and cover/competition for McCann.
  15. Well, he has only really played one game so it's a little early to say that if you ask me.
  16. Whilst McCann is not our best player, I agree with Adbo that he is the one position we lack sufficient cover in. Dacourt could be useful on a 2 year deal but then there are players like Appiah who could play that role. I doubt we would get Trezeguet AND Camoranesi for £10 million, I think it would be closer to double that.
  17. Roots for me too. I heard Against when it first came out but was highly sceptical about it so didn't buy it but it is a decent album but it is not really Sepultura for me as a bands whole identity changes when it's front man leaves.
  18. Reports of my "manic depressive" nature are greatly exaggerated to the point of being myth Well Richard, you are an accountant so I could understand why you may feel this way! 8)
  19. Thats quite optimistic for you Richard. :winkold: I would be happy with Richards, Reo Coker and Milner. Not sure about Nugent and don't think Young would add that much!
  20. It is the Mirror that is reporting this though so I wouldn't read too much into it yet!
  21. I must try that one! Got into trouble with my girlfriend last night for calling her when drunk to say I was going to get some strippers in. I was joking, she was not laughing!
  22. Who ever posted that on football rumours must be having a laugh! Stupid!
  23. I think he would see it as a step up now and assuming he would, how good do you think he would be?
