    It's not really capping top clubs spend to the bottom one. The most favoured proposal is 4x the bottom one, giving 466mn as hard salary cap if used this season.

    One thing these new salary caps and revenue/wages restrictions mean is that new stadium is almost a necessity to keep up with the big 6. Can't see any other way Villa can keep up. Which I'm sure they know it too given the recent appointments to the board seem to indicate as thus.

    What stopped them now? FFP? Which is also affecting us badly, given we have to likely sell Ramsey or Luiz to squeeze through our 3 year period... And how is that bad really? If we don't get Europe one season, we can then outspend others following season? Getting to Europe every year is extremely unlikely anyway given we have big 6 and likes of Newcastle, West Ham always around.

    The salary cap will literally not affect anyone at the proposed 4x lowest earning team, this year only City might have come close to going over it depending on bonuses paid on their CL win.

    The fans are not in conundrum, having ventured into Spurs social media, they were extremely happy we beat Arsenal and would rather finish 5th then see Arsenal win PL by far, honestly haven't seen one Spurs fan that would rather get CL

    Intertoto as the name indicates was actually setup so that people could bet on football games over summer period. It's a glorified pre-season tournament that you qualified via league (so bit more worth than pre-season tournaments) and did have a chance to qualify to UEFA Cup at later point. I think Conference League gained prestige with big sides so far winning, but especially our run will be remembered by beating some classic football sides in Ajax, Lille, and hopefully Olympiacos and Bruge/Fiorentina. were

    True, I think just jaded I've seen a lot of ''if Spurs win out with their fixtures they will deserve CL and we won't". Screw that, we need to get there haha

    I'd argue we were the worst team across both games and scraped a win on pens. And I think most our of fans had similar view, could be wrong or maybe I looked in the wrong places.

    His contract till 2027 means if we strengthen he should definitely go on loan to a PL hunting Championship side to get his stock back up , no point selling cheap after this season, unless we really squeezing FFP wise. He's still quite young for the position he plays, sending him to Boro under Carrick could do wonders.
