  1. I think my brother had one of those Nirvana tickets, for AV Leisure centre if I remember right. Not sure what he did with it mind.
  2. If this weather keeps up, plenty more of this:
  3. It's those trainers. And that hang time, when he brings it to the hoop and comes ten fold strong with the bomb. Or summat. But yes, he's done well for a Goal Attack.
  4. Gone for the Jayhawks lads in the end. Asked our lass if she wanted to come and see Gary and Mark, and she thought I meant those Manc Monkeys from Take That. No hope for her I'm afraid.
  5. I wouldn't steak my life on such kind acts from others. It would be an offal idea.
  6. Oh, very much so. He was quite clearly not 'their man'. I can't see them wanting to be shown up so early in a new parliament as tribal grudge bearers should they win the next election, though. Ah, I see what you mean. Hadn't thought of it like that.
  7. Quite a few on the opposition benches looking distinctly non-plussed with the appointment though Snowy.
  8. I wouldn't have thought football was Will Self's thing
  9. When I saw your post was next Jon, I knew it would involve a couple of bad puns and a crowbar :winkold: Off Topic, but a mate of mine thought his catchphrase was "Pot as many balls as you LIKE". Which probably wouldn't have made for the best of spectator sports. Back On Topic, presumably, as the Tories don't like this Tory (?), they'll boot him out if, as expected, they win the next GE (spit)
  10. Not sure. Last time I saw him he appeared to be trapped in a glass box, but he may well now be in a wooden one.
  11. It was only a matter of time before you came out with that one. Isn't that the solution to most conspiracies?
  12. I thought there would be a lot of M4 users at Stonehenge for the solstice. I was thinking more of the motorway though
  13. Was this when he was playing for Scunthorpe? :winkold:
  14. Any chance this thread could be re-named so that only interesting 'Well I never' type posts can appear. Then perhaps the headgear ownership or otherwise of VT members can have a seperate thread?
  15. Certainly is Rob. I was always a Highway to Hell man, but pamparius was right. Powerage is the album
  16. Aye, saw that in the Guardian at the weekend while I was knitting some yoghurt. Marvellous stuff.
  17. Both Taj Mahal, and Gary Louris and Marc Olsen from the Jayhawks are playing on the same night, at different stages, at the Sage in Gateshead. Seen them both before, both brilliant and swore that I'd travel anywhere in this country, and possibly beyond, to see either again only to find both are on my doorstep on the same night! Holy dilemma!
  18. If it is anything like the Stadium of Light last night, it shouldn't be too much of a problem to get on the pitch. Half the stand we were in, including us, just walked down onto it. There was absolutely loads of space so I don't think the stewards were too bothered.
  19. Saw them saturday. Set list was good, they pulled out most the classics so it should take you back to the time when you was in love with them. Yep, I concur. A good night was had by all, despite the rain. Still don't get the Kasabian hype though. Thought they were dreadful. Even more derivative than Quoasis. And all that hard man, 'ave it posturing and gurning just makes me laugh.
  20. Off to Oasis at the SoL tonight. The missus got tickets and I'm not overly excited having fallen out of love with the Gallagher boys quite some time ago. Should be good though.
