    Agreed TRL . IMO he wouldn't add anything to our squad and would come behind all of the players you mention in the pecking order. There's no point signing someone just because they are better than McCann. We should, and I'm confident we will, be aiming higher than above-average Championship players who have already tried in the Prem and, to borrow from BFR, didn't exactly pull up any trees.

    Maybe. Everyone's favourite moaning tosspot Neil Warnock had been touting him as a future England right back. He'd be a great signing IMO.

    Not just a good start, but a great one as far as I am concerned, by both Carew and Young. Shame the result didn't follow.

    Honestly? Apart from Blues, who I view as a mild irritant, I don't really care. In fact, I like to see sides from that part of the world doing well. Maybe that comes from living away and defending 'my people' from the odd moronic mackem and every Geordie (they're all morons :winkold: ) who think we're all Barry from Auf Wiedersehen Pet clones. It also means I don't have to put up with stick from Baggies, Blue and Wolves at work, down the pub etc so I'm sure that has an effect.

    I'd say he was over rated and past it, and not the sort of player we need. Indeed. Although someone in his mould but better who runs around all day, tackles hard and well, and is generally a bit nasty would be lovely. Nobody young enough or available enough springs to mind though. Even Martin and Randy couldn't bring Gattuso could they? Barton? Now there's a thought. He'd take some prising away from Citeh, where he is treated like a God, though.
