  1. One thing that is confusing me is - he has never chased the ball down in his career - why is it pissing people off now? He's just not that type of striker. He has never been that type of work-horse striker. He has that 'X-Factor' about him where he can create a goal all by himself, something that Davis has shown tiny glimpses of but Tammy doesn't show enough of either.
  2. We're not entitled to anything. You earn the right to play in the Premier League - not rely on previous historical achievements. You get there through winning the league or winning the play off. Simple as. We went from; Nearly facing up a winding up order to being saved; Just about keeping our most prized asset, Enduring underwhelming results from a 'tried and tested' manager who lost all endeavour and got found out; and we've now gone to; To looking to the future by getting in a Villa man who has brought us all a sense of togetherness; Breaking records whilst setting a new records that we will probably never be broken; To giving us a chance back into the big time while building a sustainable model, and giving us back our sense of identity and pride. We're doing just fine.
  3. Roy Keane, Patrick Viera, John Terry, Steven Gerrard, Ramos, Puyol, etc were all different types of captains - but all consistently were talking in ref's ear during the game. Call it trying to gain a tactical advantage or just trying to sway the ref - it's what captains do. I don't think Dean Smith and the coaching team have a problem with it, and to be honest, Jack hasn't even been in trouble for it. He's not one to lose his temper and do something - he might display his temper, but doesn't act on it.
  4. Can only be a good thing though mate. For too long we've been a team of, excuse my french, pussies. For you to see how a captain should behave - look at the Blues game. Even Blues fans were saying fair play to Jack Grealish, who is their no.1 public enemy.
  5. I've got to agree with DDID. He's learning from the one of the best captains, John Terry. He's learning how to use his influence as captain to dictate how the match should be officiated, and protect himself. I don't see any other captain doing anything different to be fair. Jack's instrumental to this team both physically and mentally.
  6. If El Ghazi scores against Leeds, I want him to do a celebration where someone barely touches him and he falls down like Bamford LOL
  7. He's defo grabbing his shirt. Watch Klich's collar. No punch at all.
  8. Regards to the language bit, he speaks brilliant English
  9. it's not just him - it's all our players. When they feel Jack isn't getting the protection he deserves, Whelan, Conor, McGinn, and Elmo tell every official that they're not doing their job; allowing 'free hits' on Jack as a marker.
  10. He's not an idiot lol. He wasn't going to get himself sent off. He slipped for that challenge anyway. Wasn't that bad!
  11. A bit weird considering with the ball, he is probably one of the fastest players dribbling with the ball at his feet. Look at when he outpaced the defender a few weeks back from the half way line. Gave him a 5/10 yard heads start and still went past him.
  12. He has that 'X-Factor'. Can do something out of nothing. It's not something you can teach. Another thing - Heard he played through the pain barrier for us on Monday - the rib injury he had he had to take pain killing injections a few days ago, but was fit enough to play. Hope we see more of King Kodj. He'll probably bang in the goal that takes us up!
  13. This - 100%. His footwork and ability to make a mockery out of defenders is brilliant. Only player who gets close is probably El-Ghazi, then maybe Jack.
  14. This. I spotted those sly digs when I watched the video as well. He's just brilliant.
  15. Where are all the haters now? SHOW YOURSELF.
  16. Got to disagree with what you've said there (in bold). When given time and space he does run at his man - please watch his run for the first goal last week - ran past 3/4 players with good/quick feet.
  17. THIS. Some of the football we have played is seriously some of the best I've seen us play.
  18. You disagreed with someone who said he had his best performance in a Villa shirt today. If that's the case, when was he better?
  19. Ridiculous. Won the ball countless times in Boro's half to push us going forward. Had a great game today, and linked up well with El-Ghazi. Well done Neil.
