  1. I sort of know what you mean but there is someone claiming he's "the best crosser in the Premier League". Not claiming he isn't that bad, not claiming he's ok, not claiming that he's pretty good, but that he's the best in the entire league. Better than Baines, Bale, RVP, Valencia, Larsson et al despite mustering one assist for a team with the best aerial dueller in Europe leading the line.
  2. His assists per game ratio is below those of Benteke, N'Zogbia, Weimann, Gabby, Westwood, Lowton, Holman, Ireland, Sylla, Bennett and even Lichaj. For a man who takes the lion's share of attacking set pieces and is basically a left footed version of Juninho that's inconceivable. His goals per game ratio is the same as Isaac Newton's.
  3. Has there ever been another season where the undisputed, factually proven, head and shoulders above the rest "best crosser in the Premier League" has only managed one assist in the entire season? Also, traditionally the best crosser is also an excellent free kick taker. Has there ever been anyone else crowned "best crosser in the Premier League" who has never scored a free kick? Bannan is a new breed of super crosser, one who provides neither assists nor goals with his amazing ability to direct the ball.
  4. And a massively overhit corner that is collected on the opposite touchline by our player is "accurate" as is an underhit one that our player manages to get a toe on in front of the first man. Also a floated corner that arrives into the headable zone (<8ft) 15 yards out with little horizontal velocity and is impressively won by Benteke but even he can only muster a tame header to the keeper is "key". Where as a whipped, dipping corner that has a good amount of horizontal velocity and is flicked away by their defender on the edge of his six yard box is "failed".
  5. ned? u mean Belgium? Haha yes I do. Some bunch of foreigners anyway
  6. This has probably already been mentioned but last night's heroics took him to 30 (4 for Genk, 4 for Neds, 22 for Villa) in 53 (8 for Genk, 8 for Ned, 37 for Villa) for the season.
  7. Tbh I agree with your matchups and I think Maia will submit Kos. But I don't think he'll do it standing and I don't think Kos will get cut. He's stepped in to help out and promoted his fights well enough to earn more loyalty than that. The UFC tends to look after guys like that.
  8. I think the idea behind that is that Kos' TDD is among the best in the division and if Maia can take him down and submit him then he's ready for a shot at GSP/Hendricks. Also the only guy ranked ahead of him without a fight scheduled is Condit and they probably want to make Condit Diaz 2.
  9. That sounds like a good attitude to have.
  10. Is this with a view to competing or just as a hobby?
  11. I think ddid is suggesting that there are valid uses for partial ROM bench and for you to classify it as a cheat makes you wrong. I agree that there are several situations where a partial ROM is useful.
  12. Rankings are good because it gives a bit more transparency as to who Joe Silva rates. That means fighters know who to call out to get closer to a title shot. Obviously they are subjective and some of them I disagree with but it's a good idea over all IMO. Ddid, you gonna trane bro?
  13. Weird night of fights. We were robbed of a Khabilov performance by a freak dislocation, several other weird injuries too. That said my accumulator came off (seeing as pretty much every single favourite won) so all was not lost.
  14. I'm a huge fan of Homework, but Discovery wins it for me. This. I do like Get Lucky, but I think the fact it was Daft Punk AND Pharrell made me expect it to be the sum of it's parts, which it isn't (and was an unrealistic expectation), rather than just pretty good, which it is.
  15. If you drew a venn diagram of our squad the "Players we signed from Man City" circle would be entirely inside the "Massively overpaid players" circle. I don't feel like we should add to those circles.
  16. Apart from the stunning pass for the goal It was a hoof up-field It was similar to Rooney's hoof up field to Van Persie on Monday.
  17. I have little doubt this will out me as a tasteless heathen to the music aficionados on here but I like both Pharrell and Daft Punk yet I'm disappointingly underwhelmed with their collaboration. Hopefully it's a grower.
