  1. Sure i said the same when Ashley Young was putting in deliveries but got laughed at for suggesting it.
  2. Herd had played at RB and played against possibly the most direct winger in the league and got no joy out of him, plus we had Cuellar, Lichaj, we desperately needed a LB. We also needed a CM who could win the ball but we bought in Jenas. As for N'Zogbia, I still have faith with a better manager we will see a better N'Zogbia.
  3. I think the next manager, can lift the side and in reality it won't be hard to improve on this season will it? We should be finishing mid-table, also this crap about McLeish not having money, he had £20million, more money than he ever had at Birmingham and he messed it up. He purchased N'Zogbia who has been awful, purchased a RB we didn't need, bought in an injury prone midfielder. He tactically hasn't got a clue.
  4. Whips in a good corner but we ain't scored from a corner!
  5. Agree, Any sane Villa fan does not expect top 4 or even top 6, and this is why i don't like McLeish constantly when he fails, he blames the expectation set by us, all i wanted from McLeish was to see some sort of improvement, i.e. organisation, attacking, just something to inspire but everything i thought would happen after his appointment has. He sets up not to lose and now we have the stats to back it up. He can go till he is blue in the face about injuries, injuries started to occur mid Feb onwards. Check the side against QPR or Wigan. In fact Wigan was a disgraceful performance.
  6. It was when Leicester had trouble financially, think he sent them money.
  7. Anyway just thinking about it they wouldn't give it to Poyet, he doesn't have Prem experience.
  8. Personally I think Poyet would be given the time to put their approach on the club, we need a manager to grow the club. I'd given McLeish a chance to do that however, I have not seen anything in his managerial tenure here that he would move this club forward!
  9. Not really DVIN! Pre-season friendlies were arranged when Houllier was still here
  10. can i be the first to say i don't care! win lose or DRAW!
  11. We have a nice stadium Nice Facilities We have won the European Cup! Oh and Shit on the City!
  12. Who said about spending freely, did you not read, I said sell the likes of Warnock who are on approximately 45 to 50k then bring in a LB who commands around 30 to 40k, it's being more efficient in all departments, then you have your star players wage i.e. Bent, if he goes then that wage free up for another big name. Remember we had a wage bill which was 87% to turnover which was never ever sustainable.
  13. I don't believe that, I just think we will not be adding to that wage bill in terms we have now put a structure in place, With Cuellar, Guzan and Heskey leaving, then trying to sell Warnock and Collins. We will then look at replacements on a cheaper wage than what those are commanding. The wage bill has reduced considerably.
  14. They have a better team and a manager but squad do me a favour!
  15. It's the first time this season, i couldn't give a shit win lose or draw!
  16. Plus Delph and Petrov never worked on the first game of the season when MON tried it and it won't work now!
  17. Delph was very highly rated and has shown it in patches, plus he always gets injured, plus then we have a manager like McLeish who plays him as a DM!
  18. Where did the Spurs fan say he'd hammer us? They said they would play like the 'Home' team which to be fair they did. Lets remember which is often forgotten Spurs had 10 Men and still dominated us! Apart from the goal did we even test Friedel!
  19. DVIN, didn't you know we play better with Gabby on his own! PMSL!
  20. BA was a free transfer, no wanted to touch him due to knee trouble! I am with VillaBromsgrove, McLeish will re-build us like he did with Blues, by purchasing hustle and bustle players!
  21. I don't see why our fans thinks he's a decent bloke, he's smug prat, and i'm actually with Mantis on this. Houllier got slated for saying we were mid-table side, this prat says the same but turns us into a relegation threatened side and then says he's acheived as he knew we would be in trouble at the start! Plus I couldn't stand Foolier either, but McLeish is up there for being a prat, lets not forget his comments at Arsenal fella's, yeh top bloke, he's a deluded fool, also to add he's a bottler!
  22. I don't get this nice bloke rubbish either, he's nothing more than a smarmy git who sucks up to everyone because he himself knows he's shit!
