Hope we look elsewhere, watched the Brighton vs Burnley game and he was shockingly poor.

We didn’t move the ball quick enough. Every time they played out and their attack broke down, we allowed them to get back into shape and all 11 men behind the ball. Our build up play was slow and insipid. We had something like 6 corners in the first 18 minutes and the shame shit ball was delivered in time and time again. We are a small team, especially compared to Watford, should have mixed it up with short corners. We lacked invention too, our play was ponderous once we were in their 3rd, we also lacked a certain directness which was much needed. Half the players looked they wanted to be somewhere else. (Luiz, McGinn, Watkins). A lack of togetherness and team spirit, pretty sure they know, come summer they will be gone.

The problem with McGinn is consistency, when he's good, he's really good and can really influence the game. conversely, when he's poor he is totally anonymous and makes very little if no impact to the game, a passenger if you will.

I've noticed how much he does give the ball away and doesn't hold it very often, treats it like a hot potatoe.

The fact you have asked, I'll assume the later. This season was a write off when Gerrard took over, we were not going to make top 6 and some shocking teams below us so change of going down very low. It's how the manager wants us to play, every manager has his own identity and this is Gerrards Gives Gerrard the opportunity to instil his style this season so we are far more accustomed to it next season Gives him a chance to fully evaluate our existing players to see who can adapt and fit into his style of player The above point will prepare our transfer strategy for the summer

Yesterday's 2nd half performance was down to Gerrard, he didn't' want to paly the basket ball end to end game with Leeds. He wanted to be less adventurous and more compact and play a passing game. This is the identify he wants from our team, however it didn't work out yesterday, but probably will 7 times out of 10. I'd rather he continues to build our play in his vision than chop and change it like Smith and previous manager did to counter teams, which ends up a mess with many formations, styles and confused players.

What you on about, Leeds pretty much dictate the play most games against anyone, plus we didn't have that many bench options - Perspective, we won't play at this pace every game.

Hopefully we have better replacements when our south American contingents went off, we had Ash and Chuck come on, in a few weeks time it could be Bailey and Tarore.

A nice balanced post, we need another striker option but I do think Ings should have been given at least 30 minutes. The Buendia and Coutinho replacements just weren't up to it. We do need a class forward and a midfield enforcer.
