You would prefer to play two strikers on the wing before Albrighton? id rather have barry chuckle on the wing at the moment that allbrighton. He has been dreadful and has been for some time. He has been found out

so what if he had a good game for england U20's. We are going to be relying on these young players week in week out and the reality is that the majority of them are nowhere near good enough. People on here seem to think we have produced amazing young players just like ferguson did at man utd a few years ago when the reality is that we havent, we have no money and we are in really big trouble this season

the more is see of our younger players the less excited i am getting about them. Apart from gardner, clark and possibly bannan im starting to think all the rest are all a bit cack if im honest
  4. pre season is always hard to judge. I dont take into account the walsall game but the thing that worries me is that we have created nothing over the last three games at all. That is worrying its the same problem blues had last year under Mcleish lack of goals but more importantly total lack of creativity
  5. His defending is nothing short of suicidal at times

But clearly us performing better with Stan in the side is a myth and obviously there's facts to back it up. The anti-Stan brigade are hilarious. nice work
  7. I happen to think Petrov is a good player and takes far too much shit from everyone. The only point I would agree on is that he tires after the hour mark now but that does not mean he is shit. Everyone goes on about NRC like he is gods gift to midfielders If he was so good why were Bolton the only team interested then.??? For a guy that could not shoot or pass a ball its a bit over the top. Petrov is a better player than NRC it just age catching up with him . I agree also that he is probably our best midfielder at the moment as Makoun is still adapting to the premier league, Ireland is fecking useless , Delph has not shown anything yet , Bannan is unproven, Gardner is unproven. Our midfield is totally shit and I bet all the people who are saying Petrov is crap are the same people saying dont sign Joey Barton!!!! Utter madness

rubbish, he would vastly improve our weak cm area Sir Gary i must admit i agree with you a million percent. Quality wise he certainly would, the only "proceed with caution" sign i see is if he would rock the ship. I would agree with Sir Gary too. would be a great free signing IMO because apart from Makoun and potentially Garner and Bannan the rest of them are all utter cack, especially Stephen "can be bothered" Ireland
  9. I was against his appointment in the first place so its still a no from me. Will be better judging him after the premier league has started and I can only go on the two performaces against Blackburn and Chelsea that I have seen and I thought they were both shite if I'm honest. I still need convincing

and getting about £40k a week. Lucky boy indeed
  11. I rate him but lucky to have him is ott. I think we are lucky to have him. He is easily good enough for a Champions League team. agreed, he's a top player imo, he just needs a run of games it would probaly help if he was not lumbered with delph stan and ireland for company
  12. i thought it was jose who took the first look at him at inter and rafa carried on the scouting. I belive jose also had a look last season too. Speaking of rafa i think his assessment of a £60 million overhaul is was probaly about right
  13. Exactly. There's a reason why Inter and Real Madird want him id have makoun sitting infront of the back four as he did with lyon and have gardner and ireland in the middle. If ireland does not pick up then put bannan in. Stan and delph can slice the half time oranges as far as im concerned

gabby played really well on his own up front when MON was in charge but he seems a different player now. He seems to have lost his spark?

I could look immense against walsall for 30 mins
  16. Totally agree. I dont undersatnd all this fuss with Delph. People on here keep saying wait to see what he can do but I honestly dont think he is up to much
  17. I think that before Makoun came on, he was the only one who knew what to do with the ball. Problem is, whoever plays next to Petrov has to do the work of 1.5 men. On a couple of occasions he ran from one side of Petrov to the other to pressure two Chelsea players, while Petrov just bent his knees and "jockeyed" between the two. Petrov needs to go and we need a James McCarthy or the like in there to give us some energy. Will then allow Delph and Makoun (as well as potentially Gardner) to play. I agree with what you said about Petrov but I thought delph was terrible also. Makoun, Gardner and 1 other other for me in the middle and I know I dont want it to be Petrov. I still keep waiting for Ireland to do something

What game you watching, seemed to be pretty **** off to me especially as Petrov or Delph didn't pass to him once in 45 minutes. Petrov only passes sideways and backwards so unless your to the left, the right or behind him you aint getting anything The less said about Delph today the better. Massive improvement needed. Ireland to me seemed lethargic, didnt see much movement or tracking back from him. I though he was a passenger
  19. seemed to have the abilty to make forward passes into dangerous areas too. ,ore importantly though he got the ball forward quickly and showed he had good vision. Much much better prospect than fabian delph
  20. I dont know about him still. I cant seem to make up my mind where to play him?? At Lyon he sat infront of the back four like Makelele used to

Ireland again was anonymous. Did not get involved and didnt seem that bothered about it
  22. Given - superb, could have been 5 or 6 without him Young - Solid if unspectacular. Not much going forward Warnock - Good display again seems to be looking better and back to his old self. Still the odd dodgy tackle Dunne - Okay, bad positioning still at times when he lapses in concentration. and tires badly. poor distribution Collins - Liabilty, gets sucked towards the ball and dragged out of position too easily. Dives in for balls he ist going to get. poor distribution. Non started for me Petrov - looked way off the pace sideways passing I dont think he can do 90 mins and I dont want him to. Delph - terrible. poor passing, caught in possesion and gave ball away. to often out of position too much ball chasing to no effect. I have a bad feeling he will not make the grade from what I have seen of him so far. Potential flop Ireland - would not have noticed him playing had it not been for his bald head. totally anonymous unfortunatly. should be doing better Allbrighton - terrible, did nothing at all. not sure he should start too many games as goes missing when up against a strong quality full back Agbonlahor - shadow of his former self. no threat at all. his strength is running the channels which was not evident today. does not fit into the current set up IMO Heskey - looked lively and offered physical presence Bent - made clever runs looked like he was causing trouble with his movement Makoun - neat and tidy think he should be ahead of Petrov Bannan - looked okay. used the ball well but still looks too small to me Gardner - liked the look of him. used the ball alot quicker than others and more importantly looked to try and get the ball forward. taller than i thought he was! Clark - didnt really have time to make much impact. didnt do anything wrong. Would have him over Collins if given he choice.

I thought they did well, far too busy with no protection in front of them - they've done about a months worth of defending and only conceded two goals. They both still do that thing when they run out for a ball that they are never going to get to though. Thats happened a few times and we end up with a gaping hole in the middle of Collins in particular gives away a stupid free kick. Ball distribution is horrendous as best too. Granted it does not help when the midfield gets totally over run which is something that is going to happen to us week in week out in the premier league which will be our downfall in most games

The worst thing to come out of this matcj is Dunne and Collins. Liabilities or what
