If i had my way as a manager of AV i would put Vlaar as a DM (when Dunn was fit) and make him captain, he was by far the best player for villa and far better than Collins.

Vlaar was man of the match for me, strong and sensible, otherwise we played dire football, one pass forward two passes back. Maybe Lambert should consider playing Vlaar as a DM he shows a lot of promise attacking as well as defending. There was no service to Benty and i think Delph needs to go and do some work on his ability to hold a ball and pass forward. Also great news for thoose of us that hate the Pool, can't wait to see MOTD tonight, WELL DONE BAGGIES you made my day brighter.

If he does come to Villa Park he could be our best chance off scoring from a corner, i very much doubt he will but stranger things have happened. Man City lost to Al Hilal with Tevez, Yaya Toure, Kompany, Zabaleta, Kolarov and Johnson all playing. Not playing well in a friendly game isn't a reflection of how the season is going to go. He uprooted from here with his wife and kids 2 years ago, his eldest son plays for Molde academy and showing good prospects, He has (as far as i know a house in Bramhall,Cheshire) a great chance of taking on a young side with some talent, he is as far as i know VT's favourite to take over from Mcleish, the meeting he had last night with Rokke was attendend by his wife (he flew into the UK with her on Randy's jet) FTLOG is she his manager???
