Nothing will happen over the weekend and maybe not till the end of next week(i honestly thought it would be today as mentioned on previous posts), finalizing personal terms, finding a suitable property close too VP and sorting out "personal issues" all take time. I reckon he is still our main target, let's just hope Randy has 20/20 vision. I must admit it's not looking very likely at all but you never know. Still, why would there be a need for smokescreens when he's unemployed anyway? Why not! we all now that Randy and the board will explore all possible avenues, we have made such a hype about it on here that CA was what we all wanted (or at least most of us) last week, now we just resign to "He said no!" He never said NO and has not as far as i'm concerned said No to VILLA, He simply said he has been mangering since 1995 and would consider a break to study! What better place to study than at Villa Park, He may be asking a lot from the Board and Randy in way of a Transfer budget, but other than that i still think he's a great possibility and a far better candidate. Randy will not let us down whatever he decides, we have had two full time managers under Randy, Mon and Houllier both having proven records and won silver for the club, he trusted Mon to the sum off close to £100 million pounds over 4 years and i'm sure if Houllier was still here he would have backed him too. We all need to take a chill pill (or just bugger off down the pub) and let Randy and the board sort it all out, we will not be disappointed! more than likely we will be amazed at how he kept it so quiet, he will be a forigner in my opinion and with a proven track record, i still believe money is not a problem as he realy wants European football.

I said yesterday afternoon after listening to Dave Whelan interview that Martinez wasn't coming to Aston Villa, you could just tell from the interview he was staying at Wigan. He didn't turn us down, he didn't want to upset the Wigan fans by having an interview with us...As that's all it was an interview. Not only that! the only reason he would have got an interview was because we asked Wigan if we could talk to him and Randy is a man of honour and would not go back on his word.

I've had it now, no one ever listens on here! we have had two posts about next manager speculations and still banging our heads like Ozzy Osbourne (let alone taking his medication just too keep us calm). FFS avfc board and Mr Lerner just tell us when you intend to announce the new manager or TELL US anything! "I would love to hear!" Randy Lerner is due to announce who will take over the vacant managers job on Friday 10/06/2011 or 15/06/2011 following much speculation he feels he deserves to at least aknowledge too the Villa fans he is working on it. Any such statement from the board or Randy would keep us quiet and the bookies and journalists can DO THE JOB THEY ARE PAYED FOR.
