Who-ever said we were turning into the SHA was bang on. At HOME we as fans and paying their wages need more! Cuellar for me had a great game, Gardner had a good game for a 19 year old kid. Why the Hell Heskey was picked above the likes of Ireland and N'Zogbia was above me! Above all that we had Ashley Young, Martin O'Neil, plus many other player/managers/board members in the crowd, not to forget Barry/Milner and Villa fan Lescot on the pitch, Yet we could not string any more than 2 passes before hitting a long ball back to Man City. Is it just me! or is Petrov a hassard for Villa, He is not captain material especialy with all the negative back passes to Collins or Dunne to HOOF it back in to NO-MANS-LAND . After all the Booing at half time from the Arsenal fans you would think it would be a great lift for Villa to take control from the start of the second, "How wrong was I" I dont know what was said at half time, but i bet it was'nt " Keep pushing lad's we can score more on the counter" as was proven when Bent gave away that penalty (what is he Heskey! the only other striker you'd find defending). I voted for Given as he saved our hides in the first half, also Cuellar had a good game and made some great passes through to midfield (he kept the game short and did'nt HOOF the ball like the rest of the defence, his mistake was passing to Petrov who yet again played more back passes than looking to push the team forward.) Just another disappointing game WHICH WE SHOULD HAVE WON.

So much for new years resolutions! mine was never to go to a home game again under ECK, it took me 39hrs to break (I did better when i tryed to quit smoking 2 weeks). Cuellar was good and so was Ireland apart from that i could not see anyone else worth mentioning. Mcleish was poor, he needed to change things at HT and yet like MON he is stuborn, i would have taken Clark off for Bannan or Petrov and gave Gardner a second run out. Lets all see what happens against Bristol Rovers, we go out with a young side and play like GODS or play with a senior side and loose 1-0.

Its the managers job to manage the players effectively im sorry but us only having our first shot on target in the 87th minute is shocking and poor management we had zero penetration and were an absolute disgrace Mcleish isnt completely to blame though the board have to give the manager the tools to do the job and he doesnt have much to work with Don't get me wrong ASHVILLA, Mcleish plays a major part along with the coach and the rest of the managment (Randy Included) But my point was that he gave Gabby,Fonz,Bannan,Ireland and Albrighton a game to try and impress and they **** up big time. Regreeting buying tickets for QPR now.

OK performance! Nice to see Clark get a run and did very well, there were some pros and cons again, we tend to sit back in the last third of the game when we should be going for a win (friendly or not). Braga played average and can play a lot better than what i saw. Let's just hope we can sort things out by next Saturday, we should be top four by Christmas in my reckoning, let's just say "if were not i would be dissappointed".
