If i hand in my notice to an employer and i have a months holiday due June 1st till June 30th and in the mean time i get or find another job, what the hell can they sue me for!? Just heard his interview on sky sports, if you listen from the 6th minute onwards he seems to sugguest that most clubs have already made season plans and work only starts from the 1st July (when Sparky becomes available) when players return after international duties/summer holidays, but surely all those plans were not in place at Villa! what the hell?? we've only had a manager vacancy for about 24 hours. it takes time to employ people, especially such important positions paying £2-3mill a year. heck, it takes me over a week to employ an admin bod on £15k. I read Hughes had a get out clause in his Fulham contract which allowed him to terminate early, as from yesterday he was a free agent. I think you're a dreamer! Villa have not had a good season, I'd be the first to admit that, but by no means any worse than in the reign of O'Leary, Don't forget we have had 4 managers this season (Yes i have included O'Neill) and still managed to survive. I think we should be happy with what we have done under the circumstances and celebrate. Hopefuly a new season with new blood, new talent and a lot more desire to win. I reckon we end up fielding the same side unless anyone is injured. I would like to see Makoun and carlos start, i would put Albrighton on and leave Ashley on the bench (knowing he could go to the pool this summer) but that's not going to happen. I agree with 99% of what has been said today and yes we were dire, the whole team needs a good shake up. Pires played ok from what i saw off the match and should have taken his chances at shooting, where as Ashley should never take a free kick or corner for Villa again, the guy is a waste of space for me. I would rate MOTM as non of the above. Let's hope we can at least beat Wigan and perhaps a draw against the Pool them we can look forward to a good clear-out in the summer and try for a top 6 next season preferably under a new managment.
