The transfer window is wide open and there is plenty off time to shift players and bring in new experienced players that won't take a long time settling into the PL. Lambert brought Benteke on the last day, ok he took a while to settle in but he pulled through as did Lowton and westwood as for the others, i'll let you be the judge on that one. Media are going crazy at the moment with Rooney, Bale, Suarez and all the other high profile players because there is nothing else going on other than the great weather were having at the moment to talk about. There are plenty of clubs willing to pay bentekke 70kpw - sadly we aint one of them OK. so on that what is Bent on at the moment, sitting there warming a bench. This is the post of the day IMO. I truly believe Benteke is worth £35 M minimum too. Because of our previous track record I would be highly sceptical & suspicious of any player make weights in any deal & would hope the hierarchy of our Club have learned the lesson of Stephen Ireland & insist on a straight cash transaction only with any prospective suitors. The only exception I would make to this rule would be for Romelu Lukaku if/when Chelsea eventually enter the bidding. The only problem I have here is understanding Lukaku's true value as he appeared to be on fire for the `Boggies` last season. To sum up £15-20M + Lukaku & I would deal. ( Or is Lukaku worth more than £15-20M?) Am I being disrespectful in that assessment on Lukaku? What do Wes & Belgian Guy value Lukaku at? Pre-season results will always matter to the SUPPORTERS, no one wants to see their side lose no matter what team we play against. I think Lambert has done a great job so far by bringing in the new players early>>only time will tell if they gel together>>there is nothing worst than having to work with people you dislike or a Boss you can't stand, they have time to bond before we start the season and IMO "They will be just fine" .
