  1. The press previews on BBC and Sky are normally about 10.30.
  2. There's a Wang joke in there somewhere...
  3. Perhaps Graham Taylor was about to persuade Elton John to pump his money in.
  4. He keeps banging on about how whenever he leaves somewhere they are financially better off. What a bell end.
  5. Are people really taking this seriously?
  6. Someone should point out the Leicester wanted to sign Veretout just as much as us, Stoke wanted to sign Adama, Amavi and Ayew have provided the best quality this season and it's the senior players in the dressing room that have let us down most.
  7. Sorry but I still find what Stan is going on about is mainly utter shite.
  8. It's plausible, the timing of the resignations and the leak of the Moyes story were pretty close. I sense whatever happened, there has been some real moving of the goalposts from Randy and these are serious guys who won't take any shit like that.
  9. Ultimately there's only so much you can do if nobody out there wants to buy the club.
  10. I only got an automated reply to my email to Mervyn. Apparently Rachel is out of the office until tomorrow. Make of that what you will.
  11. I just wonder how many other people have tried emailing Merv.
  12. I'm guessing that Randy has overruled them on something major. I'm hoping it's getting Moyes in instead of someone they wanted but it's not going to be something good like that is it
  13. Spinach is alright, it just tastes like leaves, especially raw in a salad. Cabbage is worse than rabies and sprouts are like the flavour of ten rabies-ridden cabbages condensed into one ball of vileness. Cabbage, sprouts, mushrooms and leeks I don't like, the rest are palatable, preferably with some kind of sauce smothered on top.
  14. Hopefully he can sell him for £23m again
  15. I agree. I can see why the new manager may want to wait until we were mathematically down but I'd much rather we got Moyes or someone else in now than watch Richardson running down his contract on the left wing under Eric Black. It would give him a serious period to work with what we've got to see just how good/bad this squad is. Obviously if our first choice is still in a job, we will have to wait. Still, a big part of me thinks Moyes being interested is too good to be true, but fingers crossed.
  16. Moyes has almost always got great value for money, including players from lower and less fancied leagues. I think Utd would be far closer to winning the title this year if he'd stayed, but of course that's just conjecture. Plus Zatman has chosen not to back Moyes. I like the idea of Rowett and have come round to the idea of Pearson but Moyes really is the standout candidate. If we can get back to the Prem he has shown what he can do with a club of similar size to us.
  17. I think Moyes is simply all round the best manager available to us. I assume Pat Murphy has had a decent tip off to write something so definite without any quotes, so I hope it comes off.
  18. Haven't we evolved not to really like fruit and veg as kids to stop us picking up and eating harmful vegetation? Gradually our taste buds change to find them more palatable, though obviously some people choose to remain fussy eaters for life.
  19. True, I don't think Riley has done that bad a job, it's the domestic signings that have been the worst IMO. Amavi and Ayew looked decent quality, Gana has statistically been the second best in the division after Kante or something like that, Veretout had been scouted to the same degree by Leicester who have rightfully had massive praise for their scouting. The fact that he has survived the cull suggests that he hasn't had as significant a role as is often portrayed in the press. The Moyes stuff reads like guesswork to me.
  20. Jon Moss is dreadful. His performance in our cup final was embarrassing, he was about 20 yards behind play he was so unfit. He seemed to make a horlicks of everything today.
  21. It could explain the turnaround at the end of last season which is worth a huge amount of money. It's why I'd be a bit wary of appointing Pearson right now, in case some shit hits the fan. That said I hope it's nothing to do with doping as it's a great story if they win.
  22. I think that's where their transfer ban has held them back and Turan looks a bit of a waste of time. Still fancy their chances to do the double, I thought Messi was a lot brighter and played further upfield. Decent goalkeeping and a fluke own goal cost them tonight, but credit to Pako.
  23. In all honesty i think he'd do a better job than Black as caretaker. If he won a few games... That said, I think the club knows what the budget is, Lerner has clearly left it to Hollis to run which means he's not donating any more money so the 'waiting on the budget' idea makes little sense to me. If it's Pearson I see no reason why he wouldn't be appointed this week.
