I'll be very disappointed if he doesnt start this weekend. Ball-playing midfielders are like gold dust in the Premier League, never mind here at Villa.

What about Angel? Had we of got shot of him after his dreadful 02-03 season we would have missed out on his 20 goal 03-04 year. If after a couple of months he is still poor then slag him off but new manager and a clean slate. Lets see what happens.

f) We dont pay the 10m, someone else does and gets a great player for a knockdown fee. Everyone's a winner except us. Probability of this event occuring = 99.75%.

I'm not talking about wages. We have no idea what he wants. But he is a superb player and we can get him for half the price of the player we just sold. We sell half of the MON flops for a fraction of the price we paid for them but then haggle over a million quid for a star player we are trying to sign. Joke.
