  1. It's great to see Gabby and Zog start. I think this will be the game when Zog finally shows what he can do.
  2. To say we need to win this game is the understatement of the century.

**** hell. QPR signing players who are doing the business. Everyone around us is improving and picking up points. We're doomed.

It's not a question of whether we get relegated or not, it's a question of whether there will be a single team below us by May.
  5. He's been shite since Norwich away.
  6. Get out Lambert. This is much worse than McLeish. Anyone who doesn't see this is deluded. Disastrous appointment.
  7. Losing to relegation fodder at home without scoring, twice is as many home games. It literally doesn't get worse than this.
  8. Lambert has to go. Lowest Villa eb in nearly 30 years.
  9. We lose this, I'd love to hear one reason, just one why lambert should keep his job. A disgrace.
  10. A Championship player is all he'll ever be.
  11. Why are our injured players so difficult to find news for? Does no-one have any idea when he is back?
  12. He's been useless in the last dozen games. 28 years old as well. He isnt getting any better. It was a gamble signing and it hasnt come off. Get rid in Jan/summer.
  13. Another excellent game from Bradley. Where would we be without him? That save from Michu was world class, a certain goal denied. Our keeper is one position we dont have to worry about. Having said that, if he gets injured, it could be the difference between staying up or going down.
  14. He is such a good finisher when he gets it right. Smacks it in or skies it. Getting better though. Good finishers are worth their weight in gold and he cost us nothing.

Doing really well? We were horrendous against Reading (our easiest game of the season) and were lucky to win. Those first 80 minutes were as bad as I've seen from us in terms of attacking. We collapsed against Man United, stuffed by man City, got lucky against Liverpool. We barely created anything against Stoke or Arsenal and could have easily lost to QPR. We werent doing really well. We rode our luck and and had one great win. Our tactics are shit. We have slowly gotten more and more route one because as has been our problem for a decade, we have no creativity in the centre of midfield and dont have players to take people on in this position. In other words, if a team is set up well defensively, we are in trouble. Under MON our biggest problem was exactly this. If a mediocre team came to VP and went 1-0 up it was a big worry. We would look clueless in trying to break them down. Most of best results under MON were away victories. Anyway, the point is nothing has changed.

So its come to this, being glad that other shit relegation fodder teams are going to be missing key players. Seriously the Swansea game was a miracle. Forget Michu hitting the post the first time, if Guzan hadnt pulled off that wonder save onto the post, we would have been demolished. What really scares me is that after a great unbeaten run we do as badly as its possible to do for three straight games. It would have been four at Swansea taken their chances. That's frightening. I mean you could have literally put a monkey in charge for those games and the team wouldnt have lost 0-8, 0-4 and 0-3. We all thought it was a means to an end, constant improvement and then it explodes in our face. If we got a couple of games with decent results, is it going to explode again? I dont even know what to make of Lambert right now. All I can go on is what I see. And what I see is... Mostly poor signings Ineffective tactics Ineffective subs Rubbish football Low possession stats Abysmal defending It's not looking good atm for his long-term future. I hope I get proved wrong.

    Joe Bennett

It was Bennett wasnt it who committed himself like a 10 year old when Dyer had the ball on the right for the goal? Jumped up to block the shot, Dyer faked, went past him then had the freedom of the pitch so get a ball in.
