    Guzan would have started the final but had that shocking semi vs Blackburn as I mentioned in the OP. It was the right call from MON at the time. Ironically, Guzan now is immense from high balls into the box. Doesnt drop a thing.

    He did but he had a shocking first few games this season, is on a lot of money and a big contract and we all kind of know he will happily sit there raking in the cash until it expires. He wont get anywhere near the first choice unless Guzan gets injured.

    I really like Andi. Had that awful injury, came back, got on with it when he was getting very little game time. He got a few goals, missed lots of chances but kept coming back stronger for it and now we are reaping the rewards. Touch, smart, quick and his finishing is improving every game. Who would bave ever thought a year ago that our starting strikers causing carnage through the league would be Weimann and Benteke!! His improvement is exceptional though and there is much more to come.

    As long as we beat Wigan home then I will take whatever we can get from the next two. As long as we put in good performances against Chelsea/Spurs then I'm happy. Saying to forget about relegation is ludicrous. I dont think we will be anywhere near there come May but for now we are and that's all that matters. Remember we beat Chelsea 3-1 away last season and thought we had turned the corner then lost at home to Swansea next game. We need to keep our feet on the ground. However the last 6 games have been very positive.

    Yep, the only negative to Benteke is that he wont be here long. If he keeps this up then 20m+ offers will be coming in the summer. But I wont be as pissed off as with Young, Downing, Milner, Yorke etc simply because we are just a mid-table team now and Benteke is far better than that. There will be no bitterness from me. Give us a great season Christian, possibly two if we're lucky and we make a very nice profit and good luck to him.
