I was always Ireland's biggest apologist on here but not any more. He has contributed almost nothing and let's be honest, he isnt suddenly going to miraculously turn into 08-09 Ireland is he? He should be the first player out the door in the summer. Terrible signing.

Our best player this season, without doubt. Benteke has had off-days, Guzan hasnt. It would have been 15-0 if not for him against Chelsea. *Cross comes in, Guzan catches or makes great contact with a punch* Rinse and repeat.

Delph is the only player we have who runs through the centre of the park and takes players on, something we didnt have in the MON era and caused us to be awful at breaking down teams who in front at VP. Obviously, he isnt always successful but its nice to see. However he isnt defensive enough to be in there as a stopper, isnt creative enough to be a playmaker, and doesnt score enough to be a threat for the oppo. In short, he doesnt bring enough to the team to be anything more than a solid squad player. He isnt starter material.

Bent is a bizarre one. I could see two things happening after his 9 in 16 10-11 half season. He would either carry on scoring and leave at the first sign of any interest from a bigger club like Milner, Downing and Young etc. Or the goals would dry up after his prolific start (Like Dion) because of lack of service due to the players leaving. What I did not see happening was for him to be injured/out of favour for the best part of 18 months, barely play, stop scoring, his value plummet and be completely forgotten. So we have a goalscorer who our manager doesnt fancy and is now worth less than 10m. I feel a little sorry for him, his career has never really reached what it could have done.

He's better than KEA, which admittedly, isn't saying much.

Take a draw against Fulham? Really? Win that and we're pretty much safe. We should be going all out for it. All we need to do is make sure we're safe before Wigan (a).
