  1. The Moreno/Coutinhio combination was the best thing that come out of ydays game.
  2. Should have looked behind him for their 2nd. Cleared the ball well, then no awareness where the attacker was. Never once looked over his shoulder. 2nd goal, either play offside , or follow the runner , he did neither. He has been ok this season, but he was at fault for 2 goals yday
  3. Gallagher to Everton, we get Onana........sorted
  4. My thoughts Martinez, probably the best goalie in the Prem atm Young and Moreno......Young was the better of the 2, i think we need to get used to Moreno being better going forward than he is at defending. Their RW is a lively player though, as is their RB. Konsa and Mings......very comfortable, their best game for quite a while imho. Kamara......always comfortable, a ver very good all round player. Luiz........better than last week, keeps the ball moving, think he needs to be more positive. Ramsey......I think he is a key player for Emery, his movement, pace, and willingness to get in the box I think is essential to how Emery wants to play. Not yey up to pace, but could be a very good player. Emi/Coutinho........both want the ball, I think Emi is safer in posession, but PCs attempt to play the ball forward quicker than Emi is what Emery wants from this position. I really want one of them to step up, get more assists and more goals, if not to move forward we will have to replace. Bailey/Watkins,.........both work hard, both have their moments, but want too many touches imho. Like to see another good midfielder come in, prefer Guendhouzi, and being greedy a CF
  5. You can't fault Sterlings workrate or attitude, however whenever he has the time to think, that is when questions arise about his ability for me.when opportunities arise he always makes the wrong decision for me, he passes when he should shoot, and vice versa. Would go all out for Johnson in the summer tbh
  6. KentVillain, by introducing lower Corporate tax rates, did Ireland not receive more taxation income?
  7. If you are wealthy you are more able to change society for how you see fit. If you claim to be a Socialist, and you tell everyone you "care", then you have a significantly better opportunity to effect society more than the average person. When a multimillionaire tells me he is a Socialist just for effect, then i am calling bullshit.
  8. No its not. It reflects the hypocrisy of people who are able to change society to the utopic society they claim to support Faux Socialists
  9. Redistribution of wealth blandy I'm not sure Mick Lynch is acting on behalf of ALL his members tbh Dave Nellist used to take the average wage of his constituents to show his dedication to their cause. Mind you Corbyn was in Islington, so probably not the best example.
  10. I don't disagree with your point Bickster, but i'm old school, you can't be a rich Socialist
  11. Corporation Tax is a good example. Ireland introduced a low rate, 12.5%?, copying Luxembourg under Junker, and what happens, Google, Amazon etc set up their HQs there and take tax away from the countries from where they are making their money. Taxation on unproductive wealth?....didn't really follow your point on that one tbh. I'm not sure CGT is very effective either
  12. Prefer Adams at Leeds to McKennie, Would love Ounahni tbh. For me the stand out, attainable , player in the WC.
  13. They both use tax avoidance schemes, they all do. Say one thing do another. Ferguson is another great example.
  14. Ill spell it out. If you make tax too punitive, then it has a negative impact on revenue, The world is a smaller place, you can work from anywhere in the world. The UK has numerous attractions for the rich, tax them by all means but get the balance right. Your prejudices suggested that only Tory voters use tax avoidance schemes, and i'm the one who is in the playground?
  15. Gerrard tried to get Bentacur after he had signed Kamara, have to say it looks like it would have been a good partnership.
  16. Becase they would just leave, and then we will get nothing. Taxation and its collection needs a complete overhaul. £14 billion in tax uncollected from last year
  17. My thoughts Martinez........top quality, at the top of his game and shows it. His save probably give s the victory. Mings and Konsa.....i understand what Emery is trying to do with the defensive pair drawing on the opposition, but these 2 aren't good enough on the ball, both liable to mistakes. Costa will make a difference in passing from the back, but i am incredibly nervous watching these 2. Young.... 37, ridiculous. Overall very good, but tried to get a cheap freekick for me for their goal. Our best player so far this season Digne/Moreno.......good opportunity to compare and contrast. I think Moreno is more exciting going forward, and seems to play better with JJ and PC. Kamara......for all the criticism of SG, i don't think we would have our best midfielder in the last 30 /40 years if it wasn't for him. Rarely gives the ball away, top quality. Luiz/Emi/JJ/Bailey/Ings/Watkins.........ball retention is awful. JJ i can excuse, because I think he could be very good and has just come back, the rest are too inconsistant and if we want to improve we need to replace. Guendouzi looks as if he might be an improvement. PC......was better at retaining the ball than all the above named. Linked up well with Moreno. I think Emery wants 2 holding midfielders, a defensive RB, with Moreno the maurauding LB, and more goals from the forward 4. JJ and possibly PC might be 2 of them players, Bailey is an enigma, lots of ability, and both goals he was involved in, but he does give the ball away in some dangerous areas. Might be an impact sub. Not convinced by Ings or Watkins tbh
  18. Kamara highlights the poor quality of midfielders we have, and have had to endure for the last 10 or 15 years. We have a free pass with him and Ramsey of about £100m to play with, to build a team around them. The ball retention , apart from Kamara, from Luiz, JJ, Emi, Bailey, Ings and Watkins was not acceptable. JJ has just come back, and we need to develop him as he has a higher ceiling than all the others. Guendouzi is an improvement on these, and would allow JJ to push forward a bit more. We need better ball retention than Bailey , Emi, Ings or Watkins offer. We was playing Leeds.
  19. Hes ok for me. For me him and Liz are squad players at best. Hes a reasonable all round midfielder but we need better than Samson and Luiz to play alongside Kamara and Ramsey. Tim might need to be brought back and tried as well
  20. Gets the ball, nobody makes a run for him. Hes not the player i hoped he would be, and he is certainly lacking confidence. But hes the only one who is looking to be positive when he receives the ball and hes a better player than Buendia. Probably should have not played Luiz and played Ramsey to run past Ings. Bailey doesn't help as his movement in the final 1/3rd is very poor. Final ball off Bailey, Cash, Sansom, and the LB were all very poor today Ings is an impact player
