  1. Hahahahahahahahahaha **** bollox! Does anybody know where I can get the best Pizza in Dublin?
  2. How the hell do people know it is definitely Macron? I'm not saying it's not, but what's makes everyone so sure? It could be Kappa for what we know! If Macron do for us what they have done for Napoli I won't feel too bad about it. Nike have been gash last few seasons. I preferred the Hummel ones to them.
  3. ^^Heard this as well from Leeds forums - apparently there is an £800,000 fee involved...
  4. ^^ haha - I do that. It's normally whilst swearing at the same time though...
  5. Loving Ultimate team at the mo...my stats are quite good... 41-8-19. Made the mistake recently of risking having good players in the line up without sorting out the formations and not taking note of the chemistry. A combination of Honda and Pastore in the CM with bent and gabby upfront and Arshavin and Reyes on the wings.... Wasn't really working so i sold the lot and started building a Holland squad instead. havnt had much luck with the packs either - I never get anyone good that I can just sell for a lot of coinage.
  6. Unfortunately it won't work like that will it. He was given the job 6 months ago on a bumber 3 year contract. Lerner and Faulkner for **** knows what reason thought he was the right man then and will think he is the right man now. What we could do with is a spate of sackings in the Premiership to help plant the seed and make his sacking look more justified. It doesn't help that managers who have been in their jobs sometime, or at least way longer than McLeish, who are struggling in Kean, Coyle, McCarthy haven't and don't appear in iminent danger of being sacked. The media also don't seem to be reporting that McLeish is under pressure. I would be amazed if McLeish goes before the end of the season and expect him to still be here in 18 months. I would love to be pleasantly surprised though. Of course that then means Dumb and Dumber having to find another manager and as we all know they are **** clueless at that. Oh no, I'm fully aware that that will not be the case, the hierarchy will persevere for as long as they can get away with. It's cheaper to do it that way. We won't be going anywhere anytime soon, and we cannot expect to see any new signings while we are playing like this and in the position we are in (what a great time to go 14th). Plus Randy has **** us over by allowing dickweed to spend money on crap players who have done nothing for this team, and we can't seem to shift them. McLeish is definitely here for the long run. Just hoping he remembers how to manage in the championship because it **** looks like we are heading that way! Everything is a mess. You can probably tell from the tone of my typing that I am angry! - I was backing him 2 weeks ago! How things change after a defeat...
  7. Yea, instead we got a team that's going backwards instead of forwards, a host of shit players in the team, a manager who couldn't inspire a Beaver to build a dam, and super crap football for us fans to enjoy every game. We're 14th now, behind Sunderland. Game over for Mcleish I'm afraid to say. Next...
  8. Two things that have **** me right of today- As soon as I set my sights on a little stat, about 10mins before kick off, I knew this was going to be a total disaster today. The snippet of information read: The swans have visited Villa park 7 times and have lost all of those without scoring... Now, you all know as well as I do, that we always have records broken against us, even Routledge scored his first premier league goal against us. Drogba got his 150th Chelsea goal the other day as well. Secondly, I was a supporter of AMC, I wanted to give him time, and was delighted that we got that win against Chelsea. But, after today, it appears we are simply just competing for points here and there, rather than looking to win every game and get somewhere. How **** dare they give us a shite performance like that against Swansea at home! I have joined the Mcleish out wagon now and I won't be happy until we are in another transition period... I also want about 80% of the playing staff to **** of as well because they ain't worth the money they earn I won't be going to another game after that today until some drastic changes are made. Just feels like I'm pissing money away
  9. Bit of a shame for Alby. Probs swap gabby for him at half time, just to give Gabs a bit of a rest. Good team though. Fingers crossed.
  10. Wayhay, we ain't going to be 'trading' according to sky sports with quotes from AMC. Still on the old wage bill reduction project which will go on forever thanks to various people's incompetence. Exciting time ahead for us villa fans...

I think we know where he is gonna end up in the summer. Absolutely gutted that he is going though. **** hate the squad at the minute. Decent people that are gonna be leaving, and we have clearings in the woods we still have contracted with us for 100 years.
  12. BOLLOX! Nah, only joking. Merry xmas fellow VTer
  13. We'll have to wait and see until after Jan. I'm gonna support McLeish for now.
  14. These all seem like excuses to me. McLeish somehow managed to get SHA 9th in 2010. No way should they have been relegated in 2011. They went down not because of their squad but because of their lack of desire and fight. We were often criticised as lacking fight under Houllier (which was true sometimes) and I foolishly believed McLeish would at least offer that. However, he hasn't. As far as motivation goes he seems to be worse than Houllier. Unfortunately we rarely ever attack teams either, and our defence is as useless as ever. So far in his Aston Villa career McLeish hasn't really got much right. As I said, he's got all of Houllier's negatives but none of his positives. Didnt something similar happen to Tottenham though? The only difference being, they didn't get relegated? I put that down to the quality that Spurs had to get them out of their rut. We have better players than SHA had last season and id say this is a fairly poor squad that we currently have compared to what we would/could have had 3 seasons ago. (just thinking about it now- Milner,Young,Downing,Barry - so,so nearly) The squad clearly needs improving as there are some very obvious weak links in the normal starting 11. McLeish changed that on Wednesday and we saw a fairly good display. If we get that team going for a few games we could get some results with maybe the addition of 1 or 2 players to help us out. I know it's not impressive he got SHA relegated - Twice... But again I put it down to the players he had. Here's to hoping he buys (or as he likes to say, 'trades') well.
  15. Indeed. But again, I think it was down to the quality of player that he had at his disposal. I think be brought a lot of crap. Could it have been down to the funds he had available? Did be have a lot of say in who came in even? This window coming up is an important one, because it will show whether or not he has what it takes to actually stengthen the team having had a few months to identify our weak areas. From then, will we know whether he is the right man or not. I'm expecting us to lose the next two games unfortunately. Iv prepared for that. Anything other than two defeats will be a nice surprise. I want McLeish to have January and February though.
  16. I dunno really - just a hunch. He seems a decent bloke I get the feeling that he WANTS to do well for us. He's frustrated at the moment because we are **** up simple things - I think the reason for the decline is the player quality rather than Mcleish. Obviously he picks the team etc but, ultimately, we don't really have a lot of choice? We'll see, but... Just a feeling in my waters.
  17. He's got a long way to go - but I have a weird feeling he will do it. I think we will have some more hurt on route though unfortunately.
  18. That's the thing - I think this as well, but when you run through the list and see the people that played today, I look at each individual and think, keep him and then before I know it the whole lot should stay! The ones that definitely should go are the ones that arnt frigging playing all the time- Beye Heskey Delfouneso Ireland (maybe) Marshall In addition - from the current core team I would only put Collins, Hutton and Delph (again, maybe?)
  19. Yeah that'd be great.....another 45 minutes without a goal. I actually lol'd. Haha!
  20. Indeed. He is in the wrong job unfortunately as he was never going to be accepted. Not properly anyway. Mantis - imagine in your place of work you failed to hit a target - a target which would mean that you and your team would receive a bonus in their next pay packet, and because of you not hitting your personal target, it means that they missed out on theirs. You walk into the office after they find out and they call you a **** dick (I'm not calling you that btw, that's just an example) and tell you to get out - how would you feel? Mcleish will have 30,000+ people doing that to him, because we have lost a few football matches, he really doesn't deserve it. Yes, he is paid a lot of money, but that's the world he managed to get involved with. Well done him. On the flip side, I would prefer we had a higher profile manager leading us. Mcleish's tactics are poor - but i'm happy to vent my frustrations on here. I will be disappointed if we lose a game I have attended, but I will never hold up a banner or hurl abuse at the manager or a player. The sad thing is, fan power will work, rather than the owners acting on their own accord. Keane was even booed this evening for walking out the tunnel for the 2nd half. That was a new level of manager hatred that was not nice to see. Poor bloke.
  21. Let's just wait and see what happens. We got top 10 to finish in - woohoo!
  22. I think it showed that fan power can work. you should have seen a few of them run right up to the barrier by the dugouts at the end of the game to hurl abuse at him. If that happened at villa - I don't think it would go down very well with the hierarchy! But, we must be in a mega mega shit position for that to happen at VP. Mcleish doesn't deserve anything near the abuse Keane got tonight. Let's not forgot though, all fans are fickle. If Keane strings 2 wins and a draw together in his next 3 games, they will be right back in it. same for us with Mcleish - if we go another 7 match unbeaten run again (which includes a win or two) then I will be damn happy! A funny game is football...
  23. Yup - was quite nasty. I'm pretty sure Blackburn fans themselves were singing 'your getting sacked in the morning'.... They just booed him coming out the tunnel as well...
  24. Wow - Blackburn fans reaction to them going 2-0 down was pretty savage. Wouldn't wanna be Kean right now!!
