Still think if PL is sacked then we are just gong round in circles again. By the sounds of it PL has been working with the "goal posts" being constantly moved as hairy hands says.. Randy Learner and Paul Faulkner are the real issue here, got the fans onboard by getting Lambert in then pretty much fooked off and have hung him out to dry. Thats how I see it and until RL an PF are gone we shall forever be less and less the great club of our past and sliding ever closer to lower league obscurity.

As it stands today with no new signings to add to the squad and the form we are showing since Anfield I think it more the question who will begoing down with us!

Well if thats the case then good luck to him, because if Vlaar and Westwood aren't back soon and we have to play the same team that played Bradford we are going nowhere but down. Out of interest would Lambert walk if we were relegated, would he be sacked or would he stay? Just interested as if the last few or your posts are true I now think we will be playing in the championship next year, but I hope with Lambert still as our manager.

so Hairyhands are you saying PL has been lied to? Told there was certain amount of funds available and now those funds have been reduced/taken away from him? You previously said in total he would be sending up to 10 mil on foreign payers, are you now saying that these signings will not happen? In that scenario I wouldn't be surprised and wouldn't blame PL if he walked anytime soon.

good point, in terms of where both clubs finished last season and the state of the two squads at the time he came to Villa, coming to Villa was really a step across or even down you could argue (plenty of Norwich fans thought that). I know we are a bigger club than Norwich in history, fan base etc but the state of things as they stood when PL switched Norwich really were the club in a stronger position. I think Lambert saw/sees Villa as a step across/down but with the potential to rise where as Norwich had hit their ceiling.

I wanted PL as Villa boss last year, have believed in a "project" and still hold hope that he can build something here, however recently he has made some wrong calls line up wise and substitutions wise. Have I lost complete hope, no, there is no point in calling for his head, who else is available and how much is it going tho cost, I'd rather spend that on reinforcing the squad with new signings. Also if we do not make some reinforcements and soon we are very much a favorite to go down, again in that senario would I want PL sacked, not sure, would be very disappointed in him but then again he would probably be one of the best candidates to get us back up. Very hard times to be a Villa fan right now and although PL is rightly being questioned we should stick with him, Randy look at this mess YOU have created and give you manager some real support.

oh and please mods can you get rid of those annoying snowball things that float across VT, since they were introduced we've been playing shit, its not Christmas any more and they are just really annoying.

well feeling pretty pessimistic at the moment, want to hope we can avoid the drop but the way our midfield and defence look its really quite possible now we might be a championship team next year.

Thought Spurs were supposed to be in for him, but they have just signed Lewis Holtby so you never know maybe they are no longer interested and we might be back in with a chance, heres hoping.
