This current situation just outlines how important it is that we get promoted next season. Because we will end up like QPR. This club currently is in a poor state. We are not a profit making football club. We have no type of playing style. We have a manager that despite his credentials knows that he will get sacked if he does not rise to the pressure. The Fans have no faith in Bruce as a Premier League manager even if we were to get promoted. I just hope that Bruce, Round and Wyness devise some sort of structured plan this spring/summer for Next Season.Because Bruce is going to need all the help he can get.

I have just read Dr Tony's tweets.. There appears to be an element of truth to these articles. Im actually happy that we are taking a sensible approach this summer.Too many players are being fed by this club and not contributing. My concern is that Xia believes that we need to strengthen 2/3 positions and Bruce believes that we need to add real quality to this squad. We need real quality wingers. A DM, GK and big man upfront..

I can see that Phil Jagielka is being linked Sheffs utd and Sunderland.. Surely we must be considering him?

I've just been reading an article on BM. Interesting that he mentions that an improvement is not only needed with his players but with himself and his backroom staff. Let's see what he does this summer.

We need a system that works and every player need to understand it. We also need real quality in this squad. Bruce needs to start doing what is best for this squad. Playing 3-5-2 is not a good option.

I would love if we signed some new coaches

@Morley_crosses_to_Withe Yeah we won't sack him. This is why I think Steve Round should scour Europe for some long term coaches that can create a footballing philosophy here.

@striker i agree! The backroom staff and manager need to take the majority of the blame to be honest. If Rodgers was here the style and effectiveness of our play would surpass everything that we have seen this season.

Despite liking Steve Bruce he is making far too many excuses now. It's pretty evident that he is a manager not a coach. However you would think he would have had a coaching team to help us become more effective on the ball. He talks about lacking quality but I don't think we are. I'm currently watching a league one Bolton Wanderers pass rings around Peterborough yet they don't have the same quality as us. This summer the backroom staff needs to be improved upon. Otherwise it won't matter who we sign, we will still be the same on the pitch. Steve Round should surely be looking into this now. We need 2/3 long term coaches of the club's choice that can implement some style to our play. Last thing we want is our coaches leaving with the manager.

If Bruce was going to set us up as a team that scraps and plays defensively surely he would have signed players to fit this mould? Instead he brought progressive players to our team but they do not fit this current style. I hope like someone said that he plans on setting us up differently next season to accommodate the players we've signed. If nothing changes in the next 6-8 months it would just prove that he is a manager that can only work at a smaller sized club with a smaller sized budget.

Listening to his post match interview. He knows that this is going to be a very busy summer. He knows that the team is not good enough. BUT like what SNE has said he has not set a real foundation to be built on for next season. I really hope this man turns our fortunes into something good.

I am very worried now. Despite us winning today. The way we've played has been poor. Tactically he does not set us up to win games. I really want him to do well. But unless a miracle happens this summer. I cannot see us playing,scoring and winning effectively. I just wish we had a manager that we could stick with for a few years and be proud of our football. I just don't get it. Steve Round has all these plans with structure,identity and being forward thinking but I have not seen half of that . I dunno maybe I'm impatient.

I think they have the potential to be better next season lol. Plus they have a good manager that knows how to set the team up. This league is very unpredictable and I personally feel that it would predictable to assume forest would be crap next season. I agree with you about Reading. I don't think they're anything special.

If Middlesbrough get a good manager in they could be a threat. They have a few championship ready players. Gestede could be a big player for them next season. Hull or Swansea could cause problems if one of them get relegated. More likely Hull to be fair. Next season will be tougher than this season. Sunderland,Boro, Derby,Huddersfield, Leeds,Wednesday, Reading ,Fulham, Forest,Norwich, Hull or Swansea. They will be looking towards top 6 and above next season

It's going to be an interesting summer with alot of outgoings and very few incomings. I read an article which Bruce highlighted that he wants 3/4 quality signings that could take us onto the next level. I look at players like Costa for Wolves, Knockaert at Brighton or a Shelvey at Newcastle. And I believe that is the type of quality that we're missing. Some real quality that could make an impact even at a Premier League Club. It would be interesting to see what players our new scouting team have identified. I just hope that whoever we sign is an integral and key to Bruce's football style.

Steve Bruce has to do better I'm afraid. With our players, other managers in this league would be licking their lips. We are not effective as a team. He's been here for some time now and we still don't have a style. Even if it the style is route one at least make us effective. I'm concerned about next season because 2 weeks abroad and 4 weeks across the country will not be enough to implement a style this summer.
