The reason that some apps do this is so that Android keeps them running. You really wouldn't want Llama to stop running when it needs to be awake to notice the things you've asked it to do.
I want it to keep running but just don't want a llama symbol always on top of my phone.
You'll need to ask the developers to let you choose another symbol. It might sound odd, but it's worth asking on their forums, you might not be the only person who wants it changed.
Possibly, but that is what we were discussing.
I'm not sure I limited my discussion to 'celebrities', I thought we were discussing the different situations in general.
We were discussing Stefan's post.
I would have thought the latter was a step up from the former and a possible natural progression.
I'm not talking about people losing their rag on occasions and angrily remarking about someone or something that particularly annoys them (obviously we all do that from time to time) but when it's the bog standard way of talking about others.
No I don't see that as a natural progression.
Talking about people in the pub* and the cultural norms around that bear no relation to the way we deal one on one with others. The mods have always tried to treat this forum like it's a pub discussion. How you talk about, for example. a celebrity in the pub does not influence how you would talk to them if they walked in.
* I know the analogy breaks down where we have to follow the whims of advertisers.

There is a world of difference between people calling you names on a forum you'll never see and targeted personal abuse. I don't understand why anyone would use twitter in its current form
Keep is not yet integrated with Drive, but it will be. It's messages are backed up in your Google account though.
I backup all my texts. I rarely recover them after a reset, but the app I use ("Backup to GMail") puts them all into a label in my GMail as if they are emails. They are searchable too, which is neat.
Weird indeed. It's hard to see how it can be a problem with the site though. It would be nice if someone can confirm that this happens on other browsers, so keep an eye on it with firefox, but I've only heard of this happening with IE other than from you in this thread.
It sounds like something is broken in IE's AJAX handling. Backing out the most recent update might help until they fix it.
This thread is for humble deals, please start a new thread. You could call it General deals if you want it to be for general deals. There is already a Steam thread.
The pebble is good. I've no idea what price it is selling at now to know if I'd recommend it. I suspect the omate is going to blow it out of water and then you can buy mine
If you have an issue with multiple browsers then why this topic title?
You are logged into chrome with a Google account. What is the part of that email address after the @ sign?
It could be your av. It could be malware. I'm mobile or I'd Google it for you.
It's no bother. I think it will be more useful for people to find things that interest them if we have more threads rather than one massive one. Also, it'll make it easier for people to use the "follow topic" option.
