Very skillfull and yeah clearly got a mean free kick on him. £7-8 mill id be happy with. Cant wait to see who we have signed by the end of the transfer window. Hopefully we'll see this bid accpeted and get him signed up though. Not sure if any other clubs are in for him, or whether west ham are trying to generate interest by announcing it. Also... look at out options for set pieces - barry - maloney - carew (he can unlease the power) - petrov - NAKAMURA if MON signs him - young (scored a few for watford) - Berger (iirc aint too bad) take your pick! That means he scored to great free kicks against the premiership champions. Thats pretty impressive for me. Probably worth a few crucial points in a season. He is a very mediocre player No he's a very creative midfielder/wide player by all accounts. Everytime I've watched Celtic and OK that's not that much I have always thought he was good in open play. He is a very mediocre player Not just the freekicks but every time I've seen him play he has looked pretty impressive. But i admit that was only in the world cup and against Man U so not many games to go on. He did win player of the year but i guess the league is so poor thats not such a big achievement either. I guess you must have seen a lot of him to feel he is mediocre? I think he would enhance our squad and he also pays for himself with the amount of money made from his commercial worth in the far east? IMO would be a good signing. If MON only bought players from Celtic I think there would be a riot on here. But it's close to not being exaggeration though.... You know what mate no one cares who they played for as long as they do well for ASTON VILLA. These players that MO'N is after from Celtic have got to be good if they can play with shit players like Lee Naylor and Paul Telfer and do well in the Champions League. It can't be his time in Scotland, he looks anything but mediocre. Granted it is only the SPL, but you must be watching a different player to the one I've seen.
