Raymond
I used the search feature but could not come up with anything. Is there an app we can use to browse the VT forum?

Genie
Would be interesting to know how much this would cost to get up and running. We could then maybe have a Blue Peter style totaliser to work towards it.
jim
I dont see the point in browser apps, I have a few for other forums and always end up back on the normal sites.
CVByrne
Though VT isn't very friendly to mobile browsing it hasn't stopped me being able to post ok.
limpid Posted July 31, 2012 Administrator Share Posted July 31, 2012 We certainly won't be producing an app, but a mobile skin is a possibility. Finding time is always the problem.
leviramsey Posted August 1, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 1, 2012 Considering that VT is from a technological perspective, more or less stuck in the John Gregory or at a push GTmkII era (HTML 4.01 Transitional DTD, table-based layout[!!!!], semi-abandoned forum backend), it's really no surprise that it doesn't render well on mobile browsers (which tend to like CSS-based layouts and strict HTML; implementing either (but especially the former) would probably require new forum software). I'm not sure how much a mobile skin would help in the presence of those issues.
limpid Posted August 1, 2012 Administrator Share Posted August 1, 2012 It's straightforward enough to do a DIV layout with CSS, I've got one from last year about one third complete. I just don't have time. I'm looking at alternatives.

limpid Posted August 1, 2012 Administrator Share Posted August 1, 2012 Not possible I'm afraid, they don't support the outdated software.
