RunRickyRun Posted November 16, 2011 Share Posted November 16, 2011 As I said earlier, he won the six nations with what was probably the 4th best team (though at the time there wasn't much between the four). He made the mistake of going for too many old hands at the World cup and picking too many players with niggling injuries. The loss of form from both Wilkinson and Flood also had an effect. In the end England's performance was very poor but the players have to take the majority of the blame. After all, it wasn't Johnson who missed all them tackles in the first half against France. I would have given him another chance. There's one stand out candidate to take over but he has a massive black mark against him. I hope the RFU are brave enough and appoint Dean Richards.
