Who's to say I'm not the one chasing the bear? After all I used a salmon to lure him in and it's not like I'm carrying a shotgun for the hell of it, obviously in such a situation I'm going to go ahead and shoot the bear dead otherwise I wouldn't be in it.

That bear I'd shoot in the face with my protein rifle. Then I'd wander off and eat the salmon rather than something that smelt similar.

I would take off my sunglasses and make eye contact with him. This should reassure him and and let him know I am willing to deal with the situation calmly and peacefully. Just like the British Army officer does with that African rebel in the old Army recruitment commercials.
