nah it's a manual exercise of entering the last 6 RPR ratings into a spreadsheet for each horse. quite tedious but i'm not aware of any way of automating as i don't believe racing post offers this via excel!

something like this? I can point you to a webpage where you could grab the data from each day (that is once its been loaded)

yeah that's basically what i need! some of the numbers don't match - not sure what the first number is though? maybe because the race has already run so it's including the blank entry from today's race

rpr_1 is the racing post rating (rpr) for the current race, rpr_2 to rpr_6 are for the horses previous races, blank if the horse hasn't raced that many. Would you want TS instead of RPR? I've checked the examples apr with racing post and they match up.

got it - certainly would save time! i probably would still check a few manually as i sometimes adjust if there have been excuses for the low rating

anyone watch the racing yesterday and see the jockey on the favourite at Worcester at 4pm stop riding at the half furlong maker thing he'd won?

not sure he would have won anyway but what a dime bar!!!

Joe Anderson the rider of TROLLEY BOY, placed second beaten by half a length, appeared to mistake the ½ furlong marker for the winning post. After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Anderson was suspended for 10 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished first.
