Out of desperation the other day I put balon just in case that might exist and it was accepted... ballon with two 'l's is fine in French but I don't know what a balon with only one 'l' is! Ooh là là! As for scram, I think that may well be a real word but when i was about three I got it mixed up with the verb scratch. One day I was suddenly scratched by my grandmother's cat and I said "Cheeky scrammed me!" My grandmother found that hilarious and told me about it several times years later.
