BerniesElbow
I dont know. I guess they thought someone else was trying to get their guy. Dudes fast, I guess. Was also their punt returner.

abdomlahor
Really happy with Beckham. Would have liked Donald but Beckham is a great receiver from what I've seen and heard. Edited May 9, 2014 by adz.villa
abdomlahor
Browns take Manziel at 22. That should be fun.

Tubby
Browns pick Manziel with the 22nd pick - ridiculous if you ask me, he's just too risky and will be another bust at QB. Should have waited for Bridgewater with the 26th pick rather than make a commercial decision
Brumerican
Why draft Bortles when there are so many mediocre punters available ? ! Hopefully all our remaining picks are used on cheerleaders.
abdomlahor
Overall Top 10: 1: Atlanta Falcons (traded by Houston) - Jadeveon Clowney, DE 2: St Louis Rams - Greg Robinson, OL 3: Cleveland Browns - Johnny Manziel, QB 4: Jacksonville Jaguars - Khalil Mack, LB 5: Oakland Raiders - Sammy Watkins, WR 6: Houston Texans - Teddy Bridgewater, QB 7: Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Mike Evans, WR 8: Minnesota Vikings - Blake Bortles, QB 9: Buffalo Bills - Jake Matthews, OL 10: Detroit Lions - Eric Ebron, TE The only trade I put in was the Falcons moving up for Clowney, as I'm almost certain that's what they'll at least try to do. There is also the distinct possibility that Jacksonville and/or St Louis follow suit. 4/10, not terrible... packoman
Bit surprised with Marcus Smith, don't know much about him. Seems to fit a need though. Would have preferred Ha Ha, but the Packers just had to take him.
bully
Very pleased with the Browns business for a change. I dont know much about the CB but the trade was a blinder, 2 #1's in the bag for 2015 and hopefully the Bills are shite so it will be a top pick. And delighted with Johnny. I've said before that the franchise (hate that word) needed this type of lift. I think Cleveland will be buzzing. And he will make an impact on the pitch, any half decent QB would be an improvement, he has the drive to win. Johnny, Johnny!!!!!!
abdomlahor
The corner you got is absolute lightning. Ran a 4.2ish in the 40 at the combine iirc.
Tubby
Tim Tebow had the drive to win and a similar - albeit more bible belt based - media circus. Desire to win aside, his attitude (in interviews at least) appears lax and cocky and enough scouts /GMs have analysed him to facilitate his drop. I'm just glad it was the 'bonus' first rounder and not no 4. Also to add, Manziel hasn't been tested on durability (RGIII, Capernick, Vick, Manuel, Geno Smith all suffered from injury because they stray the pocket) and just won't cut it by the lake in winter. This time next year we'll be using another 1st round pick on a QB. The best thing to do is to stick with Hoyer for the first season as he is the better player right now and it will give Manziel the time he will need to learn how to play and stay in the NFL... Gilbert is a great pick and the trade was perfect
bully
I hope you're wrong Tubby, either way its gonna be a hell of a roller coaster ride for a while and I am looking forward to it.

Gilbert is a great pick and the trade was perfect Sorry, the latest interviews I've seen he says all the right things. And as far as "lax", everybody else says he's a "gym rat" and LOVES to watch film. And LOTS of QBs get hurt. You forgot Brady, Rapistberger and Aaron Rogers, too. My point is, ANY QB could get hurt. It comes with the job. I dont know if the kid is going to be any good or not, but I'm willing to give him a chance to prove himself before I declare him a bust. And if he sucks, then I will be right there shaking my fist and screaming for him to be benched. Ideally, I wont see him take a meaningful snap this season. I think Hoyer can take us to the playoffs. And Gilbert is incredibly fast and had 6 punt returns for TDs last year. He and Joe Haden should make for a daunting defensive backfield.
