2014 NFL Draft

Recommended Posts

#1-Houston Texans

#2-St. Louis Rams

#3-Jacksonville Jaguars

#4-Cleveland Browns

#5-Oakland Raiders

So, would anyone like to take a shot at the draft order for the first five picks?

This is definitely a year where there is no consensus number one pick.

Heres my uneducated guess: *of course this is assuming everyone stays in their draft position, just to keep it from getting really confusing.

1--Blake Bortles, QB, UCF

2--JaDaveon Clowney, DE, S. Carolina

3--Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas AnM

4--Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson

5--Khalil Mack, LB, Buffalo

I think Bortles is the safest pick out of the Big 3 QBs, so Texas goes with that.

Rams take Clowney because he's just too irresistible to pass up.

JAX needs to sell tickets. Johnny Football=excitement

Browns bolster their offense yet again and add Watkins to a receiving corps that includes Josh Gordon, Nate Burleson and Jordan Cameron.

Raiders take what many say is the best overall player in the draft, even though he played at a small school.

What say you?

My current Giants 6 round mock (based on personal preference)

Rnd.1: Eric Ebron, TE

Rnd.2: Joel Bitonio, OL

Rnd.3: Travis Swanson, C

Rnd.4: Brandon Coleman, WR

Rnd.5a: Andre Williams, RB

Rnd.5b: Aaron Lynch, DE

Rnd.6: Brock Vereen, S

Overall Top 10:

1: Atlanta Falcons (traded by Houston) - Jadeveon Clowney, DE

2: St Louis Rams - Greg Robinson, OL

3: Cleveland Browns - Johnny Manziel, QB

4: Jacksonville Jaguars - Khalil Mack, LB

5: Oakland Raiders - Sammy Watkins, WR

6: Houston Texans - Teddy Bridgewater, QB

7: Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Mike Evans, WR

8: Minnesota Vikings - Blake Bortles, QB

9: Buffalo Bills - Jake Matthews, OL

10: Detroit Lions - Eric Ebron, TE

The only trade I put in was the Falcons moving up for Clowney, as I'm almost certain that's what they'll at least try to do. There is also the distinct possibility that Jacksonville and/or St Louis follow suit.

Yeah, we're the same. Gettleman's philosophy is to take the best player there irrespective of needs. If we take a tackle, corner or wide receiver in the first I'll be happy.

WKNR--"The fans were let into Radio City Music Hall about 20 minutes ago, exactly at 7pm. The silence was immediately broken by chants of "HERE WE GO BROWNIES, HERE WE GO!
