I voted for a poor manager performance but that's probably just from the last 20 minutes of the game. We dominated and the game should have been put to bed early on, but we failed to take our chances and Bolton started to get back into it. Samba made a nice block late on, but I don't think he should have been on the pitch. Going to a back five wasn't needed and just made us drop deeper and invited the pressure.
I don't think I've seen a more panicky player on the ball than Whelan. Every time he gets the ball, he refuses to look forward and just boots it away under pressure, or passes back to the defenders. Jedinak is a better player but as we have seen, he doesn't really work in a midfield two. Hourihane was good, again, but I'd still like to see him further forward and getting shots off - he has one of the best long range shots in the country, so why don't we utilise it?
Davis, Adomah and Kodjia were all quiet but not particularly poor. MOTM was Snodgrass who is showing that he is a class act and is probably unfortunate not to be playing top level football still.
