I can't say I'm as confident they're all going to be heading into this meeting pitchforks alight. Steve Parish when interviewed yesterday was talking about them being 'good guys' and 'we don't need to be hasty'.

I'd love nothing more than to kick these clubs into the abyss but ultimately all that does it punish the fans. I really think they have to go for the owners. permanent bans for the owners of the six PL clubs involved and anyone else whose name is on anything (Woodward, Levy etc). Maybe a points deduction and a transfer embargo or two wouldn't go amiss though.

Pointing the blame at UEFA and other clubs feels a bit like the #AllLivesMatter bollocks. Yes everyone in football is a greedy twunt, yes it needs massive reforms, but right now there's a very immediate threat from a very small group of greedy twunts that needs dealing with first and if you're deflecting the blame away from those individuals I can't help but think you're part of the problem.

The best thing that could happen tonight is Leeds kick off then stand aside and let the bin dippers score as many as they want. Highlight how pointless these games are now and how pointless football is without competition.

I think this could be important. The quotes coming from UEFA about maintaining sporting integrity make you want to sick in your mouth, but this attempted power grab may just have made them consider looking further ahead than the trough at the end of their nose and potentially re-evaluate just who it is they're getting into bed with. I can't say I'm optimistic though.

I don't think it does us or Fred any favours leaving him on the bench for a year, Cash is obviously first choice and Kesler his long term understudy so I expect we'll sell Fred this summer while his stock is high. The decision will be whether to promote Kesler or send him out on loan and give Elmo a year long extension.

That's more a result of them playing a lot of first teamers in U23 games.

ITT: People who have never had shin splints. It's not a consipracy, Deano isn't feeding us all lies for shits and giggles, it's just a ballache of an injury to diagnose and treat. And it's nothing to do with his **** shin pads.

I mean he might well be travelling to Liverpool with the team but there's no way it's with a view to him being in the matchday squad. I think his issue now will be rebuilding his confidence. Deano saying Wes going down twice in the U23s game was 'nothing' suggests to me Wes basically has zero confidence in his knee, which is understandable and will take time to rebuild I guess.

I don't understand why we have this arbitrary rule that nothing can be looked at if the ref's blown his whistle. That should be a Dortmund goal, but the whistle's gone so What ever happened to common sense?

Shin splints is a bit of a catch all term for all lower leg issues so it kinda depends what the root cause is. Honestly though the answer to your question is patience. Ultimately you wanna reduce the impact of your running, so slow down, try and shorten your stride / increase your cadence (it can feel super awkward at first trying to run at a slower pace but with a quicker turnover, but you'll get used to it), foam rolling and calf raises can help, I find rolling the muscle directly on the outside of the shin bone helps, just be careful not to roll on the actual bone. Also try running loops close to your home, the second you start to get any pain stop and walk home, go back out the next day (if you're pain free) and do it again, gradually you'll find the distance you're able to go pain free will increase until you don't notice it anymore.

I'm not entirely sure what is and isn't included with the free version now to be honest, but if they're still charging for the route planner then there's plenty of other free (and better) route planners out there like Ride with GPS, Komoot, Suunto have their own if you have a Suunto watch, I'm guessing Garmin/Coros/Polar etc probably do similar, and I'm pretty sure they all offer the option to download the .gpx file which can then be uploaded to Strava as a route anyway.

Honestly for running I don't think it's worth it unless you're desperate to see where you lie on segment leaderboards since they paywalled those a while back, but the running data isn't great. The cycling data is slightly better but only really useful if you have a power meter. No harm in using the free trial though, just dont forget to cancel it.

It's this, their servers are terrible. Every now and then I get put into a game where everyone's stuttering around at ~5fps, and it's the same for everyone in my squad, so I can only assume it's the entire lobby. It's another thing that seemed to get noticeably worse after CW came out. The killcams often show something completely different to what I experienced as well, either I'll be in cover on my end but wide out in the open on theirs, or I die instantly my end but on their screen they were firing at me for a full second or more but all the bullets arrived at once on my end due to packet burst. They really need a competent competitor but like you say there's not much about til BF6 comes out. Hell Let Loose is coming to console soon apparently but it's not really a COD competitor.

I worry for the future of standard multiplayer. They've said WZ is their primary focus now and I fear the yearly MP releases are essentially just going to become content packs for WZ. Although if the rumoured WW2 setting of the next game is to be believed it'll be interesting to see how they go about integrating that. It will also be hilarious when they release a reactive pink anime skin for a Thompson.
