I did wonder if it was becasue it was on a business tariff and my wife wanted to port her number over, we did give them the PAC code on Friday though. If its not on latter I will have to give o2 a call. There was quite a few people in the o2 shop on Friday all getting Iphones so obviously there isnt enough new stuff on the 3GS for people to pay the extra for.

Well despite having got my phone on Friday evening the bloody thing is still not active. How long do O2 normally take to activate them. (yes I have done the itunes part before anyone asks)

OK done the deed and got an Iphone *two infact as the missus wanted one" on the business tariff, all above board as my wife does some self employed work. We got the 3G version, 700 mins shared for about 65 quid a month which is roughly about what we paid on seperate contracts anyway. The second handset was about 96 quid. Thing is in 12 months we can upgrade for free *might have to pay a bit if there is a new Iphone out" but in 12 months we could flog the 2 handsets and would surely clear £250 to £300 and would be able to do the same thing again when we renew the contract which brings the cost of the contract down quite considrably.

I had to take the other half last night too, wouldnt have minded if The Saturdays" were the support (although The Script werent half bad). Thet werent bad and in all honesty are probably the only boy band I would have taken her to see. Just a quick word about The Ricoh Arena..........shit. Absolutely tiny inside and spend one hour and twenty minutes trying to get of Car Park C. Whqat **** idiot decided to have one entrance / exit for 300 cars to get out of. I will not be going there again in a hurry

Trouble with the 5800 is its a Nokia and after using the vastly overated N95 I will never have another Nokia ever again. I certainly wont be buying the 3GS either.

Current 3G free on £35 contract - new 3GS £185 plus and then £35 per month all for a slightly better camera, and a bigger capacity which isnt really a problem for me. Simple maths really

Of course if you do this you can only have unlimited internet or unlimited wifi unless you pay another £7.50 a month for that bolt-on too. So its not really like for like.

After having a Nokia N95 at work I cannot believe anyone could rate a Nokia phone as anything other than poor. The Ominia has similar storage capacity as an Iphone but as it runs WM6.1 it needs tweaking to get it to do stuff as you want it. Just because you can tweak a phone isnt always a good thing and I have had three windows phones. I will see what announcements are made in the next couple of days before deciding wether I go for V2 or V3 of the Iphone. Bicks is right about the tariff when you consider you get free wifi at bt openzone and the cloud as well as free internet via 3g it is a bargain

So top 4 and do well in all competitions. You'll be depressed next season. Top 4 are different graaavy. What did we finish behind Arsenal 10 points about and we finished the season with 2 wins in 16 - its not impossible for the top 4 to be caught if we buy well in the transfer window.

get the touch HD, it's absolutely WIN! if you know how to use a computer then you shouldn't have a problem with the touch HD. Lots of cool applications out for it, that are free. Plus the screen is much better than the iphone (colour wise and clarity). Plus if you tell orange you are thinking of leaving and getting an iphone (like I did), they should offer you a deal like mine 1200 minutes to mobiles 3000 minute to landlines 500 texts unlimited 3G browsing £24 per month incl VAT. and the touch HD was just £28. (comes with 8gb micro sd card). Im on my third WM phone (HTC Touch) and had been looking at the Touch HD but I am being swayed towards an Iphone because of the simplicity. Ive done tweaking on all my phones and spend too much time on XDA Developers site but to be honest I need a smartphone but have got bored of Windows Mobile. I will wait and see if a new Iphone comes out and how WM6.5 looks before deciding.

Does anyone use their phones mainly for making calls - I dont. Email, Internet, texting and listening to music/watching videos all probably rank higher for me

OK now Im intrigued. I currently have an HTC Touch which is the 3rd wm phone I have had - great little phone and was seriously looking at getting the Touch HD but having seen the app store and how the Ipod touch works I am seriously considering the apple thing too. I know the HD has a much better screen but what else makes it so much better than the iphone

My wife got an ipod touch over the weekend and I have to say that I am really tempted to get an Iphone when my contract ends. I had been looking at the HTC Touch HD or the new HTC Diamond2 as my last 3 phones have all been windows based and its great that you can tweak it and use lots of applications for free if you look without having to hack your phone. Trouble is they all feel like different applications where as the few I have but on the mrs ipod all feel as though they are part of the OS. Of to look to see if I can find any bargains on the tinterweb
